Yeah, that would be a log jam at WR if we got DHop….limited by the QB to an extent. We really need another RB.
wth does that mean?? A logjam? How... you mean having too many good players is a problem?? ugh.....

Cards wet the bed when they paid QB1. Dude is not dedicated to winning which played a big part in Dhops numbers dropping. Dhop didn’t do himself any favors as well.
what are you talking about??? Did you happen to watch the cards the last 5 games of the season???? My guess is you didnt. They were rolling out kids that wouldnt have started at the local Jr High at the end of the season......

Follow the money guys when it comes to the Cowboys. At this time two wide receivers Gallup and Cooks have big cap hits. The Cowboys plan to extend CeeDee over the summer. That will be three sizable cap hits at the receiver position. I can’t see the Cowboys giving Hopkins the 10 million that would be needed to get him here. Especially when the offense seems to be set up to have more two wide receiver and two tight sets.

If the Cowboys want him, we would get him. The guy is the perfect complement to CeeDee and Cooks. Gallup is probably the reason we won’t sign him. I think he goes to the Patriots. They have cap room and are desperate for playmakers.
Dhop is in total control. He just left an avg qb and you think he wants to go to a team in disarray at the position?

He can’t hear you. His Pom-Poms are rattling too loud.

Saying that, he was responding to a guy who would be ‘shocked’ if Tolbert does anything. Seems extreme in the opposite direction so I figure maybe he was just balancing things out.
so a 3rd rd pick is inactive for damn near every game last year, the cowboys have 3 excellent WRs in front of that same player, and saying Id be shocked if the guy that was rarely active on games days did anything this year is somehow an "Extreme," statement?

Nah, Id say it is an accurate statement. What would a good year for Tolbert be???25 catches? Id be shocked if he did that.

Semantics, he’s been injured, suspended and not as productive for whatever reasons. “ on pace for” is useless stats.
The old saying, if a hoppy toad had wings it wouldn’t bump his azz” applies here.
Semantics???? Ok, lets just do this... when he was on the field, he was a stud.

There, nice and clean.

This kid is really very talented. He just got dinged and some bad coaching last year. If he is healthy, he will contribute.
How the hell can you say it was bad coaching? Who was doing the bad coaching? Was it the same bad coaching that helped Cedric Wilson have a very productive year the season before Tolbert arrived? Was it the same coaching that had CeeDee turn into a number 1?

So if we don’t sign this guy, we won’t win a Super Bowl. Ridiculous. Because one guy makes and breaks a team.
having bigtime players ups your chances.... kind of why the Rams went out and got OBJ... and without OBJ, I think it is safe to say the Rams dont win that SB.

Andy Reid is smarter than that
Reid is a genius..... as long as he has Mahomes throwing the ball. Dumb moves are masked by the greatness of Mahomes, ala Billy Boy Bellicheck who has now had his curtain removed and is shown for what he is... A good coach.

logic.... stopic using logic in here.
So getting suspended for PEDs doesn't count. We should just take whatever games and extrapolate a season.

Facts matter, not projections. Fac6s says he was suspended for PEDs and perhaps without PEDs he couldn't even play or play at the level he did. Facts says the year before he was injured. Facts says this is his 11th year.

Maybe we should look to bring Dez Bryant back. Or maybe Jerry Rice.

You are imagining that you get the old Hopkins back, which you will not. You are getting an older Hopkins who is still good but will not be the dominant player he was.

What about the salary cap?
Salary cap is always dealt with. How did the rams do what they did??? You kick the can down the road... then you suffer, like the rams are doing right now. If they want Dhop they absolutely could do it.

I watched every game he played.... he was the best wr on the field at all times and made the niners look like a HS team when they tried to stop him, and that was with a back up qb.

By the way, OBJ got a deal that he could easily get to 18 million this season and that was coming off another major knee injury and hasnt played football in almost 18 months by the time he does. Hopkins will get more than OBJ if he holds out for it...... might be tough THIS season being so late. Will be interesting for sure.

Imagine him in Buffalo.... or KC.

I doubt that he gets 18 and very few teams could do that at this point. It will be very interesting to see what happens.

Mac Jones is a top 15-18 quarterback and the Patriots have the best coach in the history of football. If the money is right he will go anywhere. He is not taking a discount. That is why the Cardinals could not trade him.
