Ultimately QB’s with running ability eventually have their legs taken out from under them due to injuries. Not defenses figuring them out.

And Hurts effectiveness in passing game is underrated due to not needing him to win with his arm but he made plenty of plays by extending the play with legs, the same thing Mahomes does and many of the great ones.
Hurts has some really nice targets to get the rock out to, Brown, Smith, Goedert.
Think they took a step back with running game, Penny has never done squat was a bust in Seattle, they did bring in Swift, and Gainwell is a poor mans Pollard.
Not that our backfield is any better at this point considering the uncertainty of Pollards play post injury.
But I like our depth with at least offensive familiarity and chemistry with Davis, Dowdle, neither have shown top shelf play but here is the importance of becoming system RBs, knowledge of the MM scheme, keep on eye on this camp battle because I expect that Ronald Jones was an MM hand pick, and he already knows the RJ can do really well with what he can do in what MM is installing currently.
Luepke and Vaughn will be huge depth additions, and both fighting hard for playing time.

Eagles position to position are more talented than the Chiefs last year BUT theres a significant gap between the most position and that's the quarterback. Hurts is good, I'm not going to be one to sit here and say he's not but Mahomes is great. Mahomes is a difference maker.
Wasn’t massive in that game. Hurts played well the fumble did him in but so did his defense.

I think Dak is better than than Hurts when Dak is ‘on’. My problem is that Dak is only ‘on’ 2 of 3 games. Dak wasn’t better than Hirts against the 49ers….that’s the issue for me
Crazy thing is Hurts wasn’t that great against the 9ers either.

You got it! The Cowboys drafted Mazi for the Eagles and 49ers run game. Add Gilmore and Overshown the Cowboys have the cover corner and athletic linebacker to stand up to Davonte and Hurts. We our better then the Eagles if the offensive line holds up. That is a big if!!!
With this draft we have stacked this back seven and finally addressed the 1Tech, and thats not ever an easy pick to make, Poes dont grow on trees, and we may have struck gold with that late first on a true NT/1T.
If we hit on Mazi then the entire domino effect transcends.
Hankins
Gallimore
Osa
Bohanna
Mazi can be the catalyst, much like Russel Maryland back in the day when jimmy found the cog in his wheel to build that deeper roatation than anyone else in the league had.
Im just talking IDL, the upside potential taking place on the edge currently deserves its entirely differnt thread.

Maybe, but Philly still has a better OL, better TE, deeper RB room, and at the minimum, equal WRs.
Philly still has better DT rotation and very good starting CBs.

I think Dallas has better DE depth and better safeties, maybe better LBs if they stay healthy, but we will see how Philly’s young guys play this year.

As for QB, I don’t see it as a settled matter at all. Hurts is definitely the better runner, no question. I find it hard to judge fairly since his OL was so much better at protecting him last year and he not only had the better receivers, but he had a guy he could just throw it up, even in good coverage and trust him to come down with it (AJ Brown). If Hurts has another great year and clearly outplays Dak, the OL and receivers won’t be enough of an excuse, but today, I’m comfortable saying the jury is still out….at least for now.

If you had watched the SB, you would know that Hurts outplayed Mahomes.

Even the press has finally awoken to the Dak effect...... :omg:
Hey Dakko you need to find some new material for those podium-losing speeches of yours!!!

These shows love people like you. You take that bait everytime. They dont fool people that actually talk football, and dont live off hot takes. Her questions were already answered months ago, on the same show...

imagine if Dak had gone 15-25 and 121 yards. the Bash Dak over Dallas cult would be up in arms that anyone could do this. Rush could have got that. Gauaranteed. but given who they are, all the credit goes to Hurts for the win.
If the Cowboys had a 21-7 halftime lead against a team on their 4th QB, I don't think the story of the game would've been Dak's stats....nor should they be. A little perspective helps

clearly he did but still didnt do enough to win, of course if you watched the game, but are you sitting her and telling me in a 17 game season, 3/4 game post season youre taking Hurts over Mahomes?

Man it’s crazy on a Cowboys forum you will get people that tell you don’t laugh at the Eagles. Either fans getting soft or they undercover Eagles fans.

It's crazy, last I checked, laughing at division rivals is fun. They do it to us, so, a bit of return to sender banter is always fun. Last I checked, the only team that's probably close to immune at the moment might be the Chiefs, and that immunity will only last so long.
