Your running game goes from adequate to lights out if you add Cook. A Pollard-Cook one-two punch would be among the best in the league. With how the Cowboys want to play this year with the defense they've got, this could be the piece that would finally put them over the top.

A skill position lineup of Lamb, Cooks, Gallup, Pollard, Cook would potentially be close to best in the league.

Just go get him. I don't care if it makes it harder to bring back one of our guys next season. You've got to take a risk to win.

We have cap room now...unless they're going to extend Lamb or Diggs this year, why not? Rollover I get, but that's not how you go for it like we should be doing.

Of course the Cowboys should be interested, but will they sign him? Doubt it. Won't throw enough money at him. Probably goes to the Dolphins.

 Right here and now, just who will be running between the tackles to keep defenses honest and also Pollard under 20 carries consistently.

One might attempt to instead of trying to figure out what is in Stephen's pockets...look into Jerry's pockets. No, the topic is no where stupid or without enormous potential...on the carpet where it is played.
yes it is RB too much $$ allocated same argument when zeke got paid dotn pay rbs but ok to pay 4 20mil? show me this new found philosophy, all of a sudden zeke leaves and now they're running backs are the key to the entire season we should overpay and overuse critical spots on the roster for a running back position that used to before zeke was released wasn't necessary to pay running backs now you wanna pay a bunch of them..right doesnt matter TC plays out who fills in behind TP.. that what its for.. Jones, malik, rico, vaughn and hunter,..lots to choose from once they put the pads on and compete again 20mil already sitting on the rb position cap hit..

Yes, the Hopkins deal doesn't make a ton of sense, BUT picking up Cook to pair with Pollard is a legit all in superbowl run type of move.

Your a to b's aren't truthfully adequate...and you have poor listening skills when attempting to discuss what were the reasons.

1. The money is there if wanted and $8 was the conflict with Minnesota.
2. You ignore the need to keep fresh the explosive play for Pollard. If he is injured...what running game? Complete failure of the offense.
3. This one move could insure 30 points a game average to match a defense that only allows 19 points a game.
4. A Lombard Trophy isn't important enough?

there is NO difference at all .. both wr/rb position is both cap and roster spot maxxed out. Sorry but the hypocrisy in here all of a sudden it went from don't pay running backs a lot of money replace them yearly went to let's spend $25 million just at the running back position seriously it's the biggest hypocrisy in here right now to say it's going to make us a Super Bowl contender without thinking about how much money is already dedicated and how many bodies we already have or we used in the draft to bring into the running back position

so this was just about zeke, don't pay zeke???????????!!!! that's what you meant when the entire zone seemed to say that the running back position you should not invest a lot of money there

now you want to invest all the money there these other teams are trying to get rid of players like Henry, Fournette, zeke, and cooks and all of a sudden we should just go full out at the running back position ?? seriously?????

again hypocrisy it couldn't be any deeper and recognizable right now and the fact is it must have been just zeke it's not don't pay running backs it was don't pay zeke????!!!!!!!!!

Please. Our talent at WR greatly surpasses RB. After TP we have nothing but question marks.

Then add into that Pollard has never once been the full time starter for any duration. If he goes down we are looking at Rojo and a 5' tall rookie.

You couldn't be more wrong. Find even one post where I said don't pay rbs? Zeke wasn't worth the money.
