Where did the f he go? Other team will be oh...there he is downfield.

Hiding like a little mouse.
That his huge advantage, lol, like an oxymoron...
Deuce has to get lost in space, and he needs to learn quickly where his escape routes are.
Its 2s preservation and development throughout the rigors of a long season is what is most valuable.
We need Davis to keep it together meaning staying healthy for the role, if Davis gets hurt we go shopping.
A lot is riding on the overall health of this very young backfield at this point.

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I dont even go there.
Danny Dimes reminds me of a very wealthy Ryan Leaf for some reason.
Nah, man. Leaf was bad. Comparing any starting quarterback to him is an insult. Jones may be getting overhyped by some, but he's no Ryan Leaf. I think he's more comparable to Carson Wentz, capable of some good things at times but considered by some to be better than he is despite the evidence.

Dueses biggest challenge is just staying alive, and not getting crushed by a 300 lb DL or 270 lb missile at DE, LBs, safties, even most corners at this level compared to his size..
He just needs to improve his ducking skills, getting out of bounds, letting the sidelines be his friend, more than he ever did at K State.
His biggest challenge is staying healthy, he has every other skill in spades.
He's got a compact build. It's not like he's some skinny-legged little man. He's built pretty solidly, has that low center of gravity and balance working for him. He's not going to rock a 300-pound man, but I think he's going to take a hit better than some might think. Mostly, though, I agree that his skill needs to be avoiding hits, just because he's not going to be like Zeke and just truck defenders.

Man Dak could win a SB and the same people would dislike him. Let’s don’t kid ourselves lol.
They would just get quiet, like the anti-Romo crowd did when he played at an MVP level in 2014. Then, they would just wait for the next opportunity to say they were right about him.

Smaller dudes with great center of gravity have made a living, different position ofcourse but similar when thinking about Stepnoski and how he achieved greatness with his understanding of leverage.

Didn’t Vander Esche take part in the pick party today too?
Yes. Hopefully that was not a pass Dak would throw in the regular season. He tried to get that through multiple defenders.

Like that we are running more screens. Don't like that the screens haven't been effective. Of course, I'm not sure how much Pollard is participating in them right now.

I am 53 years old. I have watched every single Cowboys game since I was 3 years old that was televised. I have stuck by this team from SuperBowls to 1-15 seasons. I don't know what you consider a true fan, but it doesn't mean I live on my knees for who ever the QB is or any player. I am a Dallas Cowboy fan. Not a fan of any player. That said, come game day, I want everyone wearing a star to be the best on field and play great and win the games. Doesn't mean I think anyone of them walks on water or can't be critized for bad play. And for the record, Iwould be very happy if Dak or any QB for the Cowboys never threw an interception. Just like I am not very happy when the QB, be it Dak or anyone else, leads the league in interceptions and no "true" fan should be.
Im 52, same deal with me.

Wanted to mention that I watched the training camp live video and didn't see the improvement that I was hoping to see from Joseph. Now, it was a lot of one-on-ones and seven-on-seven, which favor the offense, but several DBs fared much better than he did. Was hoping to see more awareness and understanding in his game (some progress) and he did not show it today at all.

I've been a wait-and-see guy with him while some clearly gave up on him long before this offseason, and I'm still a wait-and-see guy, but I didn't like what I saw.

Wright continues to struggle as well, but at least he seems to know where he's supposed to be, plays the ball and doesn't bite on receivers' fakes, which is why he has made a couple of interceptions. Frankly, I don't think either should make the roster at this point, although I acknowledge that Joseph has a leg up because of his special-teams play.

Man has a special talent; we all see it.
Bet he has some Big Brothers on this offense ready to lay it on the line when Wee Man gets into the game.
Deuce is going to bring more than just his ability to move as gracefully as a gazelle in this game, Deuce is bringing a comradery that will be special this season folks.
Everybody on offense will be laying it out for him... this going to be greatness.

Joseph was by far the worst dB in 1 on 1s and you always got nashon in your mouth smh. Nashons lone rep was very good whereas everybody saw Joseph as BBQ chicken. It's no comparison. He's a special teams player only. He's worse than I thought he was

Creed Humphrey sitting there. And this team reaches for Joseph. Because they didn’t get a CB in round one and snagging the best player in the draft in Parsons. If they would’ve utilized FA properly and brought in a CB that reach would have never happened.

However. Here we are.

Weird that DQ could wiff so badly on Joseph and Wright early in the draft but strike gold with Bland and Scott much later.

Looks like Turpin is going to play a lot this year on offense. We need that juice. Kellen screwed up not incorporating him last season and once we lost TP we had nothing against SF

I could be wrong (I'm not going to go back and watch the whole thing again) but I believe Nashon was out there for more than one rep. He did have one good one. His problem remains the same: He has trouble keeping up with players in and out of their breaks and often isn't physical enough to slow them down out of it. (If they want to try to take him deep, he can run with them and use his length.) The Training Camp Live crew mentioned Harris saying something to Nashon after he lost a rep about needing to be more physical on the route, I believe. Either that or Stanback commented on it. To me, this is one of the main differences between him and Bland. Bland uses his long arms to constantly engage in handfighting with the receiver. If you win the handfighting, the receiver has trouble breaking cleanly away from you. If you don't, then he has the advantage, especially against taller corners of being able to plant and cut to create separation. Nashon can't hang with sharp breaks, and at this point, I don't see anything that tells me anything is going to be different than what we saw from him last preseason.

I 100% agree that Joseph is a special teams player only this year. Don't know if that will keep him on the roster this time, even though he's very good at it when he isn't committing boneheaded penalties. Essentially if we keep him, we would be carrying two C.J. Goodwins, corners who can't cover.

Hope both these players prove me wrong, because again 1-on-1s and 7-on-7s favor the receivers, but I'm not seeing it ... especially with Joseph in that performance.
