Yes. Troy was better than Dak.

Troy is a hall of famer. He was amazing.

The problem is finding a QB as good as Aikman. They are few and far between.

I'm not sure that it would be close. Put him thru a good offseason program, then camp and he could start in todays NFL. Would easily be better than Dak.

Dak is not going to take this team anywhere. By 2024 Jerry will start to afford other options.
For now it is 9-10 wins and one and done…

I wish we could have a bad season to get a top 4 pick at QB . This 4th rounder is playing like a 4th rounder .

Love Aikman, but anyone that understands football realizes that Aikman wouldnt be a legend without the team that surrounded him.

I hear a lot of you Dak hating trolls say that "Dak needs everything perfect around him". Well Aikman was the poster child for that. And you can throw in great coaching along with it.

Aikman couldnt even win a game without Emmitt. Look it up, its a fact.

The moment that Oline started to leak Aikman came right down to earth. Heck I was at the Giants game later in his career where he threw 5 picks in NY. And we all know he got killed prior to that Oline showing up.

Aikman had all the guts in the world, no doubt about it. And his accuracy in the short to medium range was uncanny.
That offense was built to run the ball. If Aikman was playing in a modern day offense built to pass the ball, throwing it 40 times a game... he shred the league, lead it in passing, TD's, accuracy and least amount of interceptions.
No one with any football IQ would ever compare one of the most accurate and clutch playoff passers in history to Dak Prescott.

I am growing tired of all these new Cowboy fans on the internet praising Dak and trying to discredit Aikman. Aikman is an absolute legend and watching him back in the day was an honor. I know some people here don’t like me and that’s fine but I think we can all agree that Aikman was a bonafide legend and had more guts than Dak ever had! Im old enough to remember the glory days of the Cowboys and I just want to see this team to return to their former glory. Call me a troll, I don’t care!!! I’ve even seen posts on here from people claiming Aikman wasn’t that good and he rode his team’s coattails. Aikman was a true Cowboy and one of my favorite Cowboys. They don’t make QBs like him anymore. Yeehaw!!
LOL, comparing Aikman to Dak
:facepalm::facepalm:

One point and then I’m out of this click-bait thread:

For young fans wondering why older fans are so hard on Dak or maybe think Aikman is overrated…. Think of the Tampa Playoff game last year and Dak’s dominance and perfection in that Wild Card performance. He was the QB we needed to win it all for one game. Great performance. Well… those were most of Aikman’s Playoff games until the end of his career. Including against some of NFL history’s most talented rosters and in the Super Bowl.

Dak is closer to Quincy Carter and the Hutch man and couldn't shine Aikman's cleats!

Hey, Dak lovers please give me some signature wins of Dak's excluding the Hawks(Thanks Zeke) and the 8-9 Bucs.

Think I'll be waiting and waiting for a response on this one...... :muttley:
2016 Packers and Steelers on the road. Beat two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks. Outplayed them as well.

This is just a Dak bash thread in disguise. Romo fans are the one who compare Romo to Aikman. Typically Aikmans name doesn’t get brought up in the discussion with Dak. Different eras and he has 3 rings.

I’ve never seen Aikman do anything like Dak did in that Buccs game but he also didn’t have to. If Cowboys needed Aikman to score more I’m sure he could’ve. Talent was never an issue.

Anyone with a football iq would realize im comparing the teams around the qb.
aikman would have needed a great, oline if he was going to shred anything. I have my doubts.
