Someone has to say it Grier is better than Rush

Grier has far more ability but less experience. I think the argument should really be Grier vs Lance. If Grier had played all preseason like he did last night, the Lance trade may not have happened.
If Grier had another year on his contract maybe they think about keeping him *in addition* to Lance.

I wonder if anyone will give us a conditional pick for him, just to make sure they get him.

after last nights performance, We should be cutting Rush and keeping Grier... Rush is solid but anyone can see Grier has more talent and upside
Lol, saying it and it being true are much different things. In reality saying it isn’t much more than speaking gibberish!

So easy for people to forget the forgettable performances of the previous two games.

Is Grier "better" than Rush? At some things, sure.

But if you're going to ask me to trust someone to take over the QB position for five games, I can't help it, wisdom demands I pick the guy who's done it and done it successfully.

That's the benchmark as we sit here in August 2023.

Maybe not for August 2024, but we're not there. We're here.

As long as the opponent agrees to just play their reserves and PS players, i think Grier can be adequate. Rush has played against the big time competition. Big major freaking difference. So don't get to enamored by last night's performance.
Grier was playing with mostly 2nd and 3rd stringers…making them look like NFL ready

I think he has more upside, then Cooper rush. Just like Trey Lance. A team have to invest the time.

If McCarthy could put in a bottle how Grier felt and played knowing his entire NFL career and future was on the line, we’d win some Super Bowls.

I think Grier is just too inconsistant. Sometimes he looks really good, but most times he looks really bad. Rush is just consistently better than Grier. Grier had plenty of opportunities, but I don't think he ever really capitalized on them.

Most QBs in the NFL are all more talented and mobile than Rush, but if Greer was better, he’d be kept and Rush would be cut. You cannot judge by one game, especially this final one.

Grier had a great game but that's all it was. A great preseason game.

The Raiders' defense is horrible. The Raiders' second and third string defense is a steaming dumpster fire, so keep that in mind when looking at Grier's game last night. He was basically in college again.

Bottom line is that Rush did it when it mattered. He has proven he can back up your starting QB when IT MATTERS.

Grier has been around in the NFL since 2019 and has never shown that. Only a fool would go into the season with just Lance and Grier.
