Someone has to say it Grier is better than Rush

after last nights performance, We should be cutting Rush and keeping Grier... Rush is solid but anyone can see Grier has more talent and upside

He had a great game but he’s been in the nfl since 2019 and has 4 times the ints than td’s

I don't disagree. I don't think cowboys made the wrong decision with Grier. it’s a matter of not good or worse. take your pick. right now we are better off with Rush.

My hope is rush spends all season teaching Lance on the sideline lol

let's keep that straight Cooper rush has won games in the NFL against number ones. yes he was with the ones but he earned that because in the Minnesota game two years ago he balled out it.. It was about Tie and preseason last year they went with rush i believe Grier got dinged.​

He did pretty well but let's be clear here you are exaggerating what you saw just like SOME FANS were exaggerating what they saw and Cooper rush last year that team played out of their minds for those five games, and he was not perfect...​

yes this is what's been going on since Sunday so we overreact to Greer we overreacted last year to rush and here we are saying that Lance just should never have been brought to this team yeah let's keep being an Internet experts with these opinions that are flying all over the place...​

I agree, I have always said that Grier should be the backup and not Rush, but I'm not at the prctices so don't know what caused it to be the way it is

I like Will Grier. He has enough ability to be a decent backup QB. His game Sat vs the raiders was certainly commendable but let’s keep in some perspective. He was mostly playing against guys who won’t be playing much if at all in the NFL.

I certainly wish him well in his next stop. He will get picked up by some team for sure.

Grier is Physically better and it ain’t even close. But Rush knows the system, is a more seasoned vet, and better backup. At this point if you think you’re a Super Bowl contender you have to stick with Rush.

i love how everyone keeps saying Grier was playing against #3’s and practice squad players….without mentioning we had our scrubs out there too…he surely wasn’t playing with our starters

Rush is a gamer. He’s Colt McCoy or Chase Daniels. He’s exactly what this team has missed for more than a decade of awful backup QB’s and starting QB injuries. Just keep the team afloat until the QB heals. That’s what you want out of any backups.

SPEAKING OF... Colt McCoy was cut by ARI tonight. Murray will start on the PUP

They're going with Josh Dobbs. I wonder if they'll give Grier a look

OR if Dallas should keep Grier and trade Cooper Rush for a 3rd haha

Grier has more talent than Rush, but Cooper has experience and going 5-1 as a starter - despite all of them being low scoring games - helps.

Rush isn't going to put up 30-burgers, but he has shown he won't make dumb plays that lose games. He earned the team's trust last year.

Not making dumb plays that hurt your team is an underrated skill-set, especially on a team with this much talent. Just don't turn the ball over and a win is nearly guaranteed.

This is very true but even Cooper rush didn't look that great if our defense special teams run game offensive line and coaching play elite like they did for Cooper rush I imagine will grier could have also had some success in that scenario our team could not have played better during those four or five games with Prescott out Prescott would have won those games probably all 5 but that's the problem teams can't play at that level for 17 games and that's why there was a drop off on defense and special teams and sometimes the run game and the offensive line throughout the year where you need a quarterback be able to step up like Prescott and get things done even if it's not pretty..

I think right now if Cooper rush had not been signed to the long term deal I think will grier probably would have beat him out because it was almost a tie last year in the offseason and I believe will grier got hurt didn't he got dinged up so he got knocked down to 3rd but I think he's done enough to earn a number two spot here but that spot 's already taken like I said it's a tie but why wouldn't you take a guy with a little bit stronger arm and mobility??

I'm serious I think if people go back and watch those games I don't know what your memory is telling you but Cooper rush was not that good he was barely a bus driver I mean really he wasn't really doing much but driving the bus on cruise controls so he had control of the pedal and the brake and that's about it.. I seriously think we could have won some of those games playing Wildcat with no quarterback that's how good some of them games were.. That's elite level team play I sure would like to see that in the playoffs with Prescott cause we would go really far that's not what's happening and that's why you have to keep some perspective of what Cooper rush did or didn't do last year... But yes at least he's been there and has confidence he can play in the NFL and that's why he's here as the backup right now.. He's commanded A huddle he's looked down #1 defenses and even though he didn't play perfectly he's got that experience.

The thing that is obvious is that Grier has better physical gifts than Rush.. however what's between the ears is a big advantage for Rush. Grier makes too many "What the hell?" throws. On a team this good you can't make a ton of those. If he has truly learned his lesson on those then he will go on to have a better career than Rush because he will be somebody's starter next year maybe even this year. I wish the young man well. He's shown himself to be a class act, a team guy and an all around good egg.

Grier's not better than Rush. Rush was blowing the doors off preseason a couple of years back and Rush has won several actual games.
