Tyler Smith tweaks hamstring

Is he playing Sunday night? What about Sam Williams? I think this game will come down to the offensive and defensive lines and missing to key plays from both will make it tougher for Dallas.
Jerry just said he is getting an mri this morning to see the severity of the injury and he thinks its minor and he won't miss mondays game

Schoonmaker looks good so far. We got a running back in the 6th that should have been a 4th rounder. We got a receiver in the 7th that should have been a 4th rounder as well. We got a free agent guard that should have been drafted. We got a free agent running back that should have been drafted as well.
Point is OL would have been beneficial but that discussion has been beat up. Not sure Duece belonged any higher most mocks had him in that range not sure bout the others

We do draft well! Except in round 2

IMO,

Tyler Smith is in.
Dono Wilson is game time, but out.
Sam Williams will miss time with turf toe.

I think it's just the opposite. I'm much more comfortable seeing TJ bass come in at guard then to see Richards come in at tackle.
I am factoring in Tyler Smith moving to LT. He progressed well and played well last season at LT. I think he is a potential Pro Bowler. Thus, I'm comfortable at the replacement at LT.

Bass may have potential, but I'm not sure he can handle the DTs in the NFC East if he is just thrown in at LG.

Hopefully the MRI is just a precautionary thing. Remember when we all freaked out over Mazi Smith getting an MRI on his knee? Then a day later he's playing into the second half of a preseason game.

Jason Peters better be on speed dial if the MRI comes back bad

Round 2 Lawrence, Diggs, Williams, Schoonmaker.

You do? He would have been long gone in round 3. Schoonmaker followed by Overshown look to be good picks provided Overshown has a complete recovery.

according to most mock all 3 of the cowboys first 3 picks were overdrafted. fact is i think they panicked at a position that was more luxury than need. Ferguson and hendershot could have manned it just fine. That said if Schoon turns out to be a difference maker on the edge blocking and a force around the end zone Ill gladly be wrong. I think the pick should have been OLine.

Having said that the draft didnt necessarily play out as mocked. I bolded where Schoon was projected and that was just 3 mocks

Kiper had him as his 10th best TE
PFF had him as the 7th best TE
Thats pretty consistant with other outlets. Yes I feel they reached but if hes a missing piece then its a good reach.

Well, I'm kind of playing because I don't see us starting him over Edoga ... unless Edoga is sidelined.
I guess the staff knows more than me. Though I’ve heard a lot of positives in the reviews of him and the fact that he didn’t allow a college sack seems very impressive. Maybe that’s a stat a lot of nfl lineman achieved-not sure.

I did focus on him when he played in preseason and he looked very good to my amateur eyes.

They said the same thing when they drafted Tyler Smith last year.
