I've seen a few people say this recently, including Jesse Holley on Hangin' With The Boys. The more I think about it, I agree.

The Cowboys have a talented roster, a veteran QB, a Super Bowl winning head coach, ARod is in the AFC now, and TB12 retired. On paper, this is probably their best chance to win the NFC since the 1990s. Obviously a lot can happen - injuries, etc. - but that is true of any team. They'll have to do something wiith Dak next year, either extend his contract or eat a massive cap hit, Micah and CeeDee are going to get paid, Martin and Tyron aren't getting any younger, so the clock is ticking. Jerry will be 81 this year - his clock is ticking, too.

So if they don't win the conference and get to Vegas this season, when will they? How much more needs to go their way to get over the hump? This is a big season for many in the organization. If Mike and Dak don't get this team any further than what we've seen recently, I think changes will be coming. What do you think?

I think having an 81 year old delusional, looney, narcissistic salesman as our team's GM is what's truly keeping this team from getting over the hump and changing from MM, or Dak is not going to help anything until he's gone.

I don't disagree, but that won't change as long as he's able.

But the pieces are in place. The NFC is more open than it has been in years. If not now, when?

Best team in decades. Awesome time to be a Cowboy fan.

Lol, that's ridiculous.

It's now or never. With guys like Lamb and Parsons requiring extensions soon, this is the year to get it done.

A number of teams have a talented roster, a veteran QB and a Super Bowl winning head coach. One of the biggest issues I’ve seen with the Cowboys over the past couple of decades is they rarely are ever playing their best football heading into the playoffs. Their best teams have peaked too early.

Think about it...

If the Cowboys make the playoffs, make it at least to the division round but fail to reach the conference championship game, would it actually be smart to get rid of Dak and Mike McCarthy? Who are you going to replace them with? Certainly not anyone better at this time. Getting rid of Dak and McCarthy would only set the team back. We all know it.

It depends on how it goes down.

Winning it all is hard and it requires everything coming together and most often a little bit of luck.

If the Cowboys were to go down swinging, so to speak, well.... crap happens.

If they clearly underachieve, like the last two seasons, all bets are off and anything can happen.

Logically, I get what you're saying. But when Jerry's disappointed he doesn't always make logical decisions. Ask Amari Cooper.

Later is the correct answer.

However....if "Jerry is a narcissistic old senile man, who craps his pants at night, that I can't stand and he ruins every day of my life.".. is the answer you prefer then..well..I hope you find peace somewhere in life.

Ask Amari Cooper what? That was the smartest decision he made in a long time.

If anyone's life is ruined by the performance of a team they don't own then they should probably find a different hobby. I'm just watching the show.
