Fallen star: Why 2023 is a make-or-break year for Tony Romo

"Romo would frame this as “taking the high road,” though his deflection tactics are all too transparent, living in an unflinching state of denial, unwilling to acknowledge his portrayal as a flawed broadcaster at a career crossroads. Some accountability would be nice, though, really, what incentive does Romo have to do anything more than the bare minimum?"

LMAO These people need to relax.

Years ago when Romo first started broadcasting people complained he was ruining the game by predicting the plays.

He backs off from that a bit and now he's being called lazy and complacent.

Just like his playing career, fans are just not happy no matter what.

If the allegation is true that Tony is bored with the job and “ mailing it in” he should just step away from it, however he’s guaranteed 17 million a year through 2030 so maybe it’s best to see it through, lol

Damn, the hell with playing….this gig is way better

Funny thing about money, those with a lot always want more. I'm lazy and not greedy. if I had 15M in the bank, I would play golf every day and travel.

He puts a little more of the story into descriptions now and is actually a pretty good journalist as well as play by play...always informing the watcher.

Heck yeah! Pay's great, get to travel the country to the big cities, fine dining, hang out with football royalty, and you're not running for your life from 300lb gorillas. Not a bad gig at all.
