I would say extension but I really do wonder if they are considering he might not be the answer. If this season is another bust, Jerry has an interesting dilemma on his hands. Does he blame McCarthy? Does he blame Dak? Both?

To me, if this season fizzles out like the others, I'd blow up the offense completely. That means Dak bye bye, McCarthy back to retirement.

I've seen estimates of Micah getting 35-38 mil a year and CeeDee getting 30 mil a year.

We should take note of the Kirk Cousins example. WASH let him walk because he's just not the guy to take you there, which MINNY found out pretty quickly. If your QB is just good enough to win regular season games, move on, and for gawd's sake do not pay him.

If we do, we'll be back to the 2010 Cowboys where our backups are so bad due to not having any salary cap room that we lose as soon as a couple players get hurt.
