But he did it on purpose. If he wanted an extra play he would’ve called timeout after the Gallup catch. If he’s content with a field goal then it’s not bad clock management. I don’t agree with it. I call timeout and I go for the touchdown. But if he didn’t trust his team which he said then he played it smart. We just don’t like it. To me bad clock management is when you have no idea what’s going on and you miss out on points.
It doesn't have to be a matter of not trusting the team. Its a matter of taking into consideration that the refs were throwing flags like it was a competition.

I think we have a winner!
You don't understand the flow of the game. That scenario was not about the QB. It was about not getting a penalty on that last play and losing your chance of getting any points. A penalty would have ended the half.

Sorry, but it was a non-aggressive move that could have easily backfired

They had a timeout still. So a penalty wouldn't have ended the half.

No they didnt. The timeout used to stop the clock at either :08 or at :03 was the last timeout. At least I thought it was.

They had two timeouts left when they used one with :03 seconds. That's the argument, they had time. But you can also go back to the Gallup catch. They could have stopped it with :45 seconds there and let it get down to :29 seconds with the next snap.

I don't believe they did.

Looking at the stat line I am seeing Dallas used a timeout with 11:35 in the 2nd quarter, 7:26 in the 2nd quarter, and the last one at :03.

They didnt want to use their last time after the Gallup catch.

and i'm telling you that's not what mike McCarthy was thinking... so i'm telling you you're wrong you're very wrong. you're way off base trying to put read the mechanics on MM mind, lmao.,

Prescott carried us as a team last night. MM has plenty of trust in him, everyone else NOPE!

take that nonsense somewhere else, its not landing
MM himself said he didn’t trust the situation. It doesn’t take a genius to realize that if he had 100% confidence in his QB as a leader and to execute a play or throw it away with time still left, then he would have run another play.

Don't disagree on the dump off pass, although I'm not convinced that was the first option. Dak may have just been pressured and felt he had to get rid of the ball.

Admittedly they could have taken a shot to the end zone and still had time for the FG if all went well, but any glitch and we might not of got the FG. At that point neither team had scored for a quarter and a half, so I don't have a problem with the decision to be sure we got on the board again before halftime.
Fair enough, I can see the other argument.

Just tell us you don’t trust your QB, Mike. That’s the only logical explanation
"If" he didn't trust his QB, and I don't know that, would that be a surprise? There's a whole lot of people who don't trust that QB. If he had tried a pass play and got intercepted, Dak and MM would both have been tarred and feathered by the Zone!
He flat out didn't want to risk coming away from that 1st half without a lead.

I've seen the video. They still had one timeout when they kicked. It was the reason for the whole argument. Aikman was bewildered.

Maybe thats where the confusion is. Maybe what ESPN showed and what Aikman saw on the screen was incorrect because the stat line shows all 3 first half time-outs as being used.

Yeah, because he would have lost his ever loving mind if a coach had done that to him
You're right nate, but then there's a world of difference between Aikman and Dak. Trusting Aikman vs trusting Dak is two totally different things.
Like I said before, if they had tried a pass play and Dak threw an interception, we would've never heard the end of it.
I could just see it.......:omg: LOL

I can see where McCarthy is coming from. Refs were just gashing the Cowboys left and right. It was CRAZY! Every penalty it seems was on Dallas and after awhile id simply say "Of course its on Dallas. Why not?". The refs were REDICULOUS last night.

I’m telling you you’re totally wrong he didn’t have confidence in a mistake not happening by the other players on this team like the TEs. And wrs. The OL etc. sorry dude you’re absolutely off-base even though you’re on track there is a reason you don’t want to mistake to happen a bad snap offensive line letting somebody throw in a free run and hit the quarterback and it fumbles receivers running the wrong routes in the ball getting tipped or not copy it happen all the time last year this year be pretty common in the dark and we have no run game and I’m running back to not really block sell. Yes he didn’t trust that a mistake it happened with very little time on the clock it’s critical that everything goes perfect in this team around Prescott has not been perfect dick this year do you want me to line is not good you’re not consistent the running backs turn off consistent especially with the blocking the white receivers balls constantly bounce off of them. Yes he didn’t trust that a mistake it happened with very little time on the clock it’s critical that everything goes perfect in this team around Prescott has not been perfect yet this year do you want me to line is not good you’re not consistent turn off consistent especially with the blocking the white receivers both constantly bounce off of them he cannot trust his outfit he fully trust Prescott Prescott actually was the player on our team that carried our team ended up being leading both passed Hebron football team so yeah I talk to the quarterback you don’t trust him dude you need to get a clue because you’re a clueless troll but keep on driving up false narrative

Without Prescott we lose the game cooper rush under Tarth much pressure absolutely losses that game. It’s very difficult to play quarterback when you don’t have a run game you’re one dimension of your lines not playing well and your receivers are constantly covered or when you try to do it to them intake cover to bounces off their chest or their hands and you have problems yes you’re right didn’t trust the app it had nothing to do with the quarterback
