I enjoyed the last 2 wins, but am I optimistic this season ends better? 49er losses help, but no...

We need a lot of health, consistency, improvement, & peaking to start 2024 feeling any different.

All the contenders this last week — teams with only 1-3 losses and in thick of it — and only 2 of those teams to not make any deadline trade: Ravens and Cowboys. Everyone else found an improvement somewhere.

Using the logic that we made our trades in the offseason is ridiculous. For one thing, most of the deadline trades were to counter unexpected injuries, something we’ve had a lot of. And… you don’t know what type team you truly have in the off-season. Now, you know it better, and this is the chance to fix the opportunities.

For us… OL, CB, RB, WR3, LB and even TE depth from injuries or underperforming players. Offensive red zone… Disappointing run game. And can always use more run defense support on this undersized D.

Discouraging to see the Owner/GM tell everyone two or three days before the deadline that he’s standing pat.

Amateur GM.
A fan running this franchise.
Sad state of affairs.
And because nepotism rules Supreme,
No hope in sight.

I thought it would be interesting to see how everyone feels about the Dallas Cowboys at this moment.

Think of it as an approval rating.

As always, I do not provide "easy out" options in CZ Polls because that defeats the purpose of the polls.

Not every poll is for everyone so if you do not like the options, do not vote and instead post your opinions as a reply.
Sure. Why not? We’re competitive and in the upper tier of NFL teams.

We're 5-2, fairly healthy except for Diggs (I'm not counting Tyron, assuming he'll play maybe half the remaining games). Have a solid if inconsistent defense, an offense than can score points.

I'd be unhappy only if they were 2-5 and had a poor chance of beating even mediocre teams, with an anticipated out of the playoffs final record.

In other words, l'm happy it's not all bad...

You have to have the desire to win championships...... The Rangers wanted it while Jerry doesn't give a damn. Screw Jerry.
Jerry wants another SB trophy desperately. If all he cared about was money, he'd sell the team for multiple billions of $.

Problem is he can't see the trees for the forest, he's NOT a great gm (though I don't think he's terrible, just not good enough for making a SB contender) but won't give up any chance he won't get credit for building a SB winning team that doesn't have Jimmy Johnson as its coach...

I see holes that are going to come back to haunt us around playoff time. Too much hope and prayer running this team and not enough hedging.

Solid is the polar opposite of inconsistent.

A GM who builds a team w/ gaping holes that loses early in the playoffs every year and doesn't understand why the holes are there or why we lose is indeed a terrible GM. Absolutely awful.

I would give him full credit. 100%. He is the GM, he gets full credit for everything. Including boneheaded 2nd round picks.

In order to win the whole thing we need to have a head coach and quarterback that are so elite at their jobs that their 2 individual performances can overcome the distracting culture Jerry creates.

We are no where near that with this HC and QB.
