OL: Steele has been awful and arguably the weakest link on offense. Can we get out of his monster contract? Tyler B has been mediocre at best…if there’s an opportunity to draft an upgrade do it.

CB: Gilly will be a FA soon and JLew has been picked on as a slot CB.

S: Kearse and Wilson have been weak links as coverage safeties.

WR: kind of a question mark bc if we do a better job getting Cooks involved we’re fine but still need to upgrade MG.

Sed Van Pran could be a good option if we are in the lower end of the 20's and stay put. Better prospect than Linderbaum was IMO, but might not go higher. Kind of reminds me of the Pounceys.

Very very strong OT with as many as 9 that could be viable first rounders. If we want to keep Tyler at LG, this is like the time to strike on a LT. Scouting is important here. Do you want to move and get your guy, or do you take the best of whats there. Personally, with a critical position like LT, you go get your guy. Can Richards be a RT?

S, I think Bell will replace Kearse next year. Same type of player but might be better than Kearse was when he caught on here. Still wouldn't be shocked at some day consideration here. They like to be deep.

CB, should be in consideration the first 3 rounds. You're #3 CB plays over 70% of the snaps

WR, definitely a need, but I dont know how I feel about the talent that will be available in this draft. This could be a position we make a vet move and punt on in the draft

I’d love to see us sign a T and draft one in the 1st.

Really good Tackle draft. Guys I love are Taliesa Fuaga (Oregon State), Graham Barton (Duke), and Kingsley Suamataia (BYU). I think people have discovered Fuaga and he will get drafted before the Cowboys would have a shot.

CB: Gilly will be a FA soon and JLew has been picked on as a slot CB.
I don't love this class. No sure thing elite talent IMO. Toledo's Quinyon Mitchell is a sleeper. I realy like Iowa State's T.J. Tampa (6'2", 200 lbs).

S: Kearse and Wilson have been weak links as coverage safeties.
I love, love, love Iowa's Cooper DeJean. He's a corner/safety/linebacker and return man for the Hawkeyes. Would love to see him a Kearse-like role in Dan Quinn's defense. Utah's Cole Bishop is a thumper. James Williams (Miami) is huge at 6'5" and 215 lbs. My Day 3 guy is Maryland's Dante Trader Jr who also plays for the Maryland rugby team.

WR: kind of a question mark bc if we do a better job getting Cooks involved we’re fine but still need to upgrade MG.
I like Washington's Rome Odunze, Florida State's Keon Coleman, USC's Brenden Rice (Jerry's son), and Florida's Ricky Pearsall. Tennessee's Bru McCoy was once a bigtime recruit who bounced between Texas and USC before finding a home in Knoxville.

Coleman, who played basketball at Michigan State, will go before the Cowboys can pick him.

I haven’t started my draft homework yet but good to know it’s a loaded OT class.

For CB, we already have our 1 in Diggs and a solid up and comer in Bland. We just need a competent slot CB which shouldn’t require a premium pick.

Unfortunately I dont them signing an OT, especially with Steele extension. My guess is they see if is back to pre injury form in 24, and if not they cut him after that year

C - Tyler B. will be like the Connor's gone in FA.
LT - 1st Round, plug n play.

CB - depth is trash.

RB - need a stud.

LB - depth to replace LVE.

WR - Big target.

A few names I want to throw out there...Anyone want to break these players down?

Cooper DeJean, DB Iowa
Jack Sawyer, Edge Ohio St.
Tommy Eichenberg, LB Ohio St.
Graham Barton, C Duke
Trey Benson, RB Florida St.
Xavier Legette, WR South Carolina
Cooper Beebe, OG Kansas St.
Jordan Morgan, OT Arizona

don't worry dumb and dumber will mess up any draft like drafting a injured TE in the 2nd round

-Steele is coming off of an acl injury. He has played much better after that terrible game in Philly. He isn't going anywhere. The OL has a ton of needs-Biaz/Tyron are fa's, Martin will be 34 next season.

-Corner is definitely a need: Gilmore/Lewis are fa's, Diggs coming back from major injury.

-Safety is set. Bell replaces Kearse role. Hooker/Wilson will return.

-Wide receiver-Cooks probably returns, Gallup could be a cap casualty. We also have Bryant, Brooks, Turpin. Believe the positional group is fine.

In my opinion, outside the OL-we need a quality running back at a true mike linebacker. My draft needs by priority:

-G/C
-RB
-CB
-LB

WR I can see them taking one of value is there. They seem to really like Brooks so I dont think we will see a prioritize. 2022 and 2023 scouting seemed to prioritize WR, I dont know that they do again

I think if Rocket Sanders ends up in the late 2nd, he could end up being the pick

I like Corum alot. But I think he goes im the 25-40 range. I don't think we will invest that much in a HB. Be it a first or a trade up in the 2nd
Corum just doesn't look as explosive to me after his injury. I like Estime from Notre Dame as that power back.

If Steele keeps playing well like he has since your post, do you still want us to take an OT in the 1st? We have Asim Richards who can step in at LT for Tyron if/when he's gone .........

Good post. I think DE could be an area of need also.

What do y'all think about Ray Davis? I think he'd be a good fit.

I like him as a mid rounder. A little old, but not a too much wear and tear. Good all around player, will get a good amount of work in the passing game because he is a strong and good in blitz pro. Is he a lead back? Idk. But at min he will be a good guy to give 160 or so carries and a heavy passing game workload too. Late 3rd would be decent. 5th would be outstanding
