Jason Garrett done as a coach?

You can't learn to coach in 1 year. Jerry was the only idiot that didn't know that.

He's not a bad coach.

There was a lot of interference from Jerry.

1] wouldnt let him call the plays any more
2] the weird change from 4-3 to a 3-4 D. Then the change back. Plus all the bad DCs we had, until DQ.
3] the freak injuries to Romo and Dez.
4] Jerry forcing out Romo in 2016 to go with Dak. Huge mistake. Dak wasnt ready.

Bonus:
5] the 'Dez Caught It' play in Green Bay.

Given all that, he had a winning record here.

You will never see Garrett as an NFL head coach again. If he was going to get hired he would be working right now.
Time will tell. For some reason nfl teams sure like bringing back guys from the dead
Personally I’d stay with the TV gig. Solid pay and less hours

The current NFL is about scheming against the opposing team. You hear Tony Romo allude to this every game he does commentary on.

Garrett’s mantra was we’re going to focus on what we do best and not worry about the opposition. He’s outdated.
