I keep having these obnoxious abdominal pains. My doc has me on an antibiotic in case it's some kind of infection, but he also has set me up for some kind of a scan, I think he called it a CT scan. I'm hoping it's something treatable. Some years back, I had a hernia in that area that I had to get fixed. I would hope it's something like that, and not something more serious.
...
My scan is set for Thursday, December 21st. If you use prayer in your life, and you wish to include me, I would be grateful. Thanks.

There are a lot of things that could cause abdominal pain, many of which can be fairly routinely treated. Worrying about it is one of the worst things for it.

That said, you'll probably be just fine, but I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks. I'm hoping it's minor. I had an umbilical hernia in 2008. Maybe that's what it is.

Consider yourself included. Feel better and come back with a clear scan.

I have a suspicion of what it might be. In '08, I had an umbilical hernia repaired in an operation. Then, in the past two years I've seen about a zillion FB ads about the "mesh hernia lawsuit." It makes me think maybe my '08 hernia was fixed with that mesh system, but that system has turned out to be lousy. So maybe my old hernia needs to be fixed up again. This is just speculation, btw, but I'll be ultra glad if it ends up being something treatable. If it turns out to be that hernia, that beats the pants off it being something serious.

Friends, thank you for your kind words and prayers. My scan is still 6 days away, but now I feel like I'm facing it better. I appreciate your kindness.
As a non religious person I still wish you all the best my man. Don't think about it too often before the scan, can't do anything about it anyway!

Fingers crossed, it was just a scare. Hang in there :)
