The rub to me is that Miami didn't best us. We beat ourselves.
Now that stings.
Self inflicted wounds dog this team. We simply make too many mental and physical errors.

Dumb players do dumb things. This team can’t handle pressure and they fall apart when they get physically challenged.

This game reminds me of the first game philly game. Inches short and bad things happening.
Very true, very similar. Ball at the 1/2 yard line first down and goal. Next play - SACK, 2nd down and goal from the 8, lol. It was reminding me of that first Philly game too.

For what Schoon has given Dallas and Mazi for that matter this yr an OT seemed more appropriate a selector given Steeles 2022 injury and 77 history last 4 yrs.

I think this is a mistake Cowboys fans make, worry about what another team does to give us a better position in the playoffs. The last couple of games were a litmus test on how we would fare in the playoffs. Judging by the results, it doesn't matter what seed we get if we can't play playoff caliber football.
The path still matters. 2 seed means 2 home games. Then who knows, niners could get upset or injured, or gasp, we beat them. Winning the SB is a mix of skill and luck every single year.

Aren't we all used to this?...Don't think this team will ever change. I think the Lions have a good chance of beating them at home next week cause they have more heart
They don't beat winning teams. For some reason, they get a pass. We haven't won in 30 years. They haven't won in 70. They get a pass for that too. Let's make it 16 in a row at AT&T. Hopefully the Ring of Honor festivities will spark us on even more.

Not blaming the defense. Offense could have easily wom this game. But I can't give the defense a pass when one stop could have won the game.
Theres 1 person to blame and its the fullback. He cost us the game.
Up 14-3 its a different game and the dolphins would have playcalled differently

Wow, so many negative posters on here..................just relax and enjoy Christmas.

Did you guys really think the Cowboys were going to go to the SB this year?

They are an above average team that blows out scrub teams and loses to good teams with an exception here and there (see Philly and Seattle).

Odds are this team beats Tampa Bay in the first round and then losses either at Philly or at SF in the divisional, just like they have done the past 25 years.

Getting upset over it aint gonna change anything.

This game was lost between the second and and most if forth quarter. Blane it in whatever you want the facts are the offense wasn’t playing the best defense in the league. Dak takes critical saks and can’t see the field better than any blind Joe off the street. The defense on the other hand played outstanding considering the fact that they held a top ranked offense to 22pt with no offensive support..before last possession. Dak needs to understand that fg aren’t going to win squat against a high powered offense. Miami avg 31 pot on offense so defense did its job, unfortunately Dak disappeared for two and half quarters which usually doesn’t win. His supporters will argue the defense blew it as they had the lead before final drive, problem is they were gassed from playing the whole game. It is what it, but don’t blame defense bc they did their jobs.

The-Defense-did-OK,but-in-reality-the-Dolphins-had-the-will-confidence-and-ability-to-know-they-were-winning-that-game-when-they-got-the-ball-back.They-have-a-nice-team.
Dak-should-have-scrambled-a-bit-more-when-he-had-the-chance-to-keep-the-Defence-from-being-able-to-predict-him,I-hope-he-scrambles-some-more-into-the-season-when-the-going-gets-tougher,we-need-his-mobility-whatever-he-has-left.

Yes im not absolving the OL but he did have open WRs he still couldn’t find them plenty of times

Mccarthy and Dak are never gonna get us to a SB. Time to move on
I have been reading all these posts....KJJ is right...maybe Dak did not have a great game but he gave us the lead in last couple minutes....the O Line could

not hold up....its on the defense....if i give you the lead and all you got to do is make a stop and you cant its on you....period....yes Luepke did not hold on to

the ball and fumbled it...that is not on Dak....that is from not using him enough and he was probably freaked out....how many other fumbled balls do you see

Dak handing off?....Zero...bottom line....i gave you the lead with just a little bit of time remaining and you lost it Defense....its on you Defense and Quinn drew

up a loser....that is how it is

Im not saying it is all Daks fault. There are several factors including defense and OL but defrnse can say that they held the highest scoring offense in the nfl to 22 points, the OL can say that they did their job on the last drive to get us the lead. In the end it comes down to the guy who has his hands on the ball for half the game, the QB. He had had almost 8 years of starting with nothing to show for it. Nothing

We have been saying these things for 8 years now. Think about it, 8 years!! Thats a ling time. At some point we have to open our eyes and understand that the team will always be imperfect in some way, always, the QB has to overcome those issues at some point over a span of 8 years. If he cant, he cant and he is not going to be able to. There will be a different excuse in the playoffs and a different one next year. He is not the guy and we cannot pay him 55 million next year and get tied to him for another 3-4 years
