You look at drafts long term. Not just in year one.
Well that’s a given…but I look at this current roster with a 2/3 year window.

As soon as Tyron, Martin, Tank etc start slipping it’s not going to matter how good this kid is in year 3.

Give me a linebacker that isn't legally blind and can shed a block over a run stuffing DT.

The OP literally doesn’t watch any other college football except UT.

It’s an annual event where he proclaims 10 different Longhorns as sure-fire 1st round picks.
I watch SEC and Big 12 all season. Name all 10 Longhorns I said should sure fire 1st round picks. The only Longhorn I said would be a surefire 1st rounder was the 8th player taken in last year's draft.

Dallas never drafts Texas players, Oveshown was a shocker! Hopefully it changes because
Texas has the number one player in the country next year.... Kelvin Banks Jr.!
Obviously we won't be drafting top 5 in 2025 but time to drop the Texas hate or Dallas will
continue to drop in the playoffs.... We need some of these players, they are different than the decades before.

We’ll see how good of a pass rusher he is in the NFL. He’s not going to be able to physically dominate NFL OG’s like he could in the Big12 and he doesn’t offer much in terms of pass rush moves or athleticism. Jordan Davis is still struggling to produce anything in the NFL, size isn’t always the end all be all.

Think he’s more of a late 2nd/early 3rd round talent. Much like last year when another enticing big DT from the state of Texas Siaki Ika was getting 1st round hype early in the draft process but ended in the 3rd round.

give me a LB that doesn't have a spinal condition, neck injuries or nerve damage in his leg, how hard is that?

Apparently impossible for this scouting group. Low key expecting the next lb drafted to be a quadriplegic

We’re not very good at scouting LBs…outside of Lee who was the last good one we’ve drafted?

Feel like we overvalue athleticism for instincts. Gotta be a balance.

LVE looked like the next coming of Brian Urlacher his rookie season, than fell of a cliff and injuries did the rest.

Jaylon Smith was always a high risk move that never panned out.

Overshown showed flashes to be very good but unlucky ACL tear. Jury out for next season and beyond.
