There’s absolutely no job security with any head coaching job. Head coaches have been fired after one season. That’s life as an NFL head coach.Would be a bad move. Can’t imagine candidates would be too enthusiastic about the position when there’s absolutely zero job security.
In my opinion that is only because Jerry wants to retain Quinn and may need to promote him to do that.Dont speak too soon. McCarthy’s job isnt safe either
Which is another example of why he is a horrible gm/owner.In my opinion that is only because Jerry wants to retain Quinn and may need to promote him to do that.
Absolutely.A good owner would fix that GM problem.
Well, when you frame it that way lolWhich is another example of why he is a horrible gm/owner.
Fire a coach that has won 12 games in 3 consecutive years to promote a failed head coach
If you believe his continued employment is going to be more a detriment going foward, that the black eye terminating him after a season will be, the sound thing to do is rip it off.I don’t get how you could fire him when he’s been winning but aye maybe they win in spite of him.
McCarthy wins 12 games for 3 straight years and get's fired. Garrett goes 8-8 and loses the division to each of our rivals three years straight and we get stuck with him for nearly a decade more. Only in Jerry world. lolWell, when you frame it that way lol
If McCarthy doesn't win Super Bowl that will be Jerry's "reason"
Yea and its dumb. Instead of looking at his flawed roster, he will blame the coach. Because you know, hes doing such a great jobWell, when you frame it that way lol

Ruthless my brother, just ruthless.Who would want to go there and take over that team, with Hurts at QB.
Maybe he will hire Sean Payton, who had almost exactly the same resume as McCarthy before he failed in Denver and McCarthy succeeded in DallasYea and its dumb. Instead of looking at his flawed roster, he will blame the coach. Because you know, hes doing such a great job
That may be the case. How do you fall from 10-1 to 1-5 without several major injuries? If they look flat again and get rolled by Tampa Bay that might be it.I really doubt that is the case.
The Eagles lost both their OC and DC last offseason from their Super Bowl team so the most logical starting point for fixing their team should they not get back to the Super Bowl would be to hire a new OC and/or DC for next season.
The only reason you fire a head coach one year removed from a Super Bowl appearance would be because he's lost the team or he violated some NFL rules that could blow back on the team.
They better have all police and fire units ready to go.If the Eagles lose Monday night in the playoffs like they did last week against the Giants, it will get super ugly in Philly.
