They'll pay him after next season although they can wait to 4 because he is under contract for 2 more seasons. But they aren't going to wait until he's a free agent to try to re-sign him. He's a free agent after 2 more seasons so he'll get paid after 1 more season.
I wouldn’t sign him. I’d be shocked if they’re not talking about improving the position this offseason. He played poorly in every game up to the SB. He was ok tonight but the conservative play call down the stretch didn’t help them.

Tired defense is the only logical reason. They were just on the field at the end of regulation while Mahomes stormed down the field.
Right. But I don't like that as an excuse. Because even if the D is tired, KC can't beat you if you kickoff to them.

Agreed, and I know arm strength isn't the most important factor but you have to have an average arm at least. He has almost no zip on his passes , they all seem to float a bit

Purdy "a s s" most game.

Rookie contract QB failed, imo.

He's got the best talent and coaches...and still soiled the sheets.

Rookie contract QB truthers dont want to answer the second contract number discussion for Purdy. Kills their narrative.

In today's NFL, you don't even have to be as good as Purdy to get market value. Look at Daniel Jones. Although Jones is on a trash team. I'm not sure Purdy is much better on the Giants.

Is anyone else surprised Spagnuolo doesn't get more HC interest? Or has he he ever came out and said that he has no interest as a HC?

He’s been the obvious weak link in the offense the entire playoffs. It’s no secret, Shanahan’s limited the playbook because of his lack of physical ability. Kudos to SF, they damn near won it all by protecting Purdy and tossing out half of their offensive scheme.

Andy Reid is a difference-maker. When the Chiefs needed to put together a drive, Reid controlled the game through the play calling. Screens and 1-read quick passes, these were all easy throws ANY QB could make. No Mahomes Magic needed, except on that one long run he had up the middle. Other than that, Reid outcoached the 9ers defense. Won them the game.

Mahomes + Reid is going to be a tough combo to beat...but Reid is a BIG factor in that equation.

Mahomes and Brady just prove how important it is to have a clutch QB , that can go out and win you games if the offense or defense struggles . Cowboys don‘t have that

The Cowboys don't have a clutch coordinator, so then it's hard to evaluate whether you have a clutch QB or not. If Dak had an OC that could outcoach a defense with simple play calling based on tendencies and pre-snap reads, he'd have more playoff success. Moore and McCarthy, they don't fit that bill.

This Super Bowl wasn't played like last years, but the result is the same. The better coach / QB combo is bound to come out on top. I think we would all agree on paper both Philly and SF had superior teams to KC. Doesn't matter though

Kelce? Oh well the only time we have to listen to him is after they win a major game like the Super Bowl. The rest of the time, he's just a great TE with a great QB.
Yeah, Kelce. Listening to him after they win a major game is enough for me.
