He’s been the obvious weak link in the offense the entire playoffs. It’s no secret, Shanahan’s limited the playbook because of his lack of physical ability. Kudos to SF, they damn near won it all by protecting Purdy and tossing out half of their offensive scheme.

It's really unbelievable how close they got with him. To his credit he doesn't turn it over often or seem to get rattled. Also is able to extend plays.
I wouldn't have been able to stomach seeing them win after totally screwing the pooch with the Trey Lance trade up and pick to winning a SB a couple years later with Purdy. Thankfully they couldn't seal the deal and Mahomes Mahome'd again.

He’s solid between the ears, no doubt. But I would be desperately looking to upgrade the QB position this offseason if I were SF.

I think they will. Purdy = Jimmy G and they looked to replace him soon after a Super Bowl loss to KC. They know to win a ring, they need a guy they can count on when they reach it to play the AFC. It's one thing to beat Goff, Jordan Love, Dak, Cousins in the NFC playoffs. But they still haven't found anyone to beat Mahomes.

49ers have lost 3 SBs and 4 NFCGs. In the last 13 years.

Dam, thats got to hurt....................but at least they made it that far, so I cant really talk too much smack about them considering we get beat in the first round nearly every dam year.

Serious question, not trying to be a dick about it, just dont understand why somebody who claims the entire league is rigged and games are all predetermined bothers to still watch the games and comment about it on a public message board on the Internet.

You honestly dont have something better to do, like take your girl out to see a movie or play with your kids? If I ever thought the NFL was actually rigged, I would never watch another game and I would have the admin here permanently delete my account, but maybe that is just me.

Exactly..........why do you think 99% of college teams elect to play defense first in OT..........that way in know if you need 3 or 7 to win when you get the ball.

Huge mistake by Shanny, not sure what he was thinking or maybe he just didnt understand the new postseason OT rules since this is the first game played under the new rules.
