Should have deferred like in college so you know what you have to do.When SF went for three in OT, I knew they were cooked. Got to score TDs against KC.

It's really unbelievable how close they got with him. To his credit he doesn't turn it over often or seem to get rattled. Also is able to extend plays. He’s been the obvious weak link in the offense the entire playoffs. It’s no secret, Shanahan’s limited the playbook because of his lack of physical ability. Kudos to SF, they damn near won it all by protecting Purdy and tossing out half of their offensive scheme.
Perfect example of a loser mentality.1 winner, 31 losers.
Let me know when the "we didn't win but we're a well-run organization" parade starts.
No one has what Brady and Mahomes have.Mahomes and Brady just prove how important it is to have a clutch QB , that can go out and win you games if the offense or defense struggles . Cowboys don‘t have that
Good. A coin toss shouldn't dictate anything about the outcome of the game.Yep. Tactical error by SF.
That's why I hate the new OT rule. There's no longer any real advantage to getting the ball first in OT.
basically the same thing the Seahawks did with Wilson during that infamous SB. Trying to justify the huge contract they are going to give him.Whiners got to too cute and tried to put the team on the back of Purdy instead of McCaffrey.
Exactly.Should have deferred like in college so you know what you have to do.
He’s solid between the ears, no doubt. But I would be desperately looking to upgrade the QB position this offseason if I were SF.It's really unbelievable how close they got with him. To his credit he doesn't turn it over often or seem to get rattled. Also is able to extend plays.
I wouldn't have been able to stomach seeing them win after totally screwing the pooch with the Trey Lance trade up and pick to winning a SB a couple years later with Purdy. Thankfully they couldn't seal the deal and Mahomes Mahome'd again.
I think they will. Purdy = Jimmy G and they looked to replace him soon after a Super Bowl loss to KC. They know to win a ring, they need a guy they can count on when they reach it to play the AFC. It's one thing to beat Goff, Jordan Love, Dak, Cousins in the NFC playoffs. But they still haven't found anyone to beat Mahomes. He’s solid between the ears, no doubt. Please... this is a Family site!!It’s an oblate spheroid.
This.No one has what Brady and Mahomes have.
Dam, thats got to hurt....................but at least they made it that far, so I cant really talk too much smack about them considering we get beat in the first round nearly every dam year.49ers have lost 3 SBs and 4 NFCGs. In the last 13 years.
Which Manning? Eli or Peyton?This.
I have these guys 1-2 all time. I don't care who people pick as one. Because everybody's opinions will vary.
There's Mahomes/Brady
Montana
Manning
Elway
The latter three were legends. The first two are in a class by themselves. You don't find QB's like that very often.
Hi Jerry, did you enjoy the gameIt is better to have choked against the 7 seed in the WC round than to lose in OT in the Super Bowl.
Then why the hell are you watching? The entire league is so scripted...and bought...it's not even funny anymore.
Really odd tweet from the President of the United States (no it's not a parody account)
It didn't dictate it before, but it does now.Good. A coin toss shouldn't dictate anything about the outcome of the game.
Exactly..........why do you think 99% of college teams elect to play defense first in OT..........that way in know if you need 3 or 7 to win when you get the ball.It didn't dictate it before, but it does now.
That's why everyone is clowning SF for choosing to receive.
Under the previous rules, there would've been an inherent "pro" and a "con" to getting the ball first.
The new rules eliminated the "pro."
