Travis Kelce was the 4th highest paid TE last year at 14 million.

Thats not even a top 20 WR contract.

CeeDee will make MUCH more than him. That’s why they had to trade off Hill, because they couldn’t pay everyone.

Parsons will make much more than Jones also. Parsons will demand the biggest defensive contract ever given.

I still blame the owners more than I do the players. Yeah these massive deals are an issue but it’s the front office’s overly conservative approach that keeps us in mediocrity. They have enough high end talent to at least be competitive in the division every year despite a flawed roster.

If they would be willing on occasion to trade a bigger name when their value is high it could be a game changer for this franchise, Granted they have to execute on a trade. I absolutely love Ceedee lamb don’t get me wrong, but his value will never be higher than it is now. With that said had they been open to trading him they could have gotten a couple premium draft picks and opened up considerable cap space for this year and the next few. That in theory could be an extra 1st and 2nd round pick this year plus money for a pair of free agents like Derrick Henry and DJ Reader.

The issue isn’t guys getting their money, it’s a front office that gives in time after time to players who prioritize the money.

They are to blame because they are good and will get paid? Maybe we should draft crappy players and then we don't have to worry about it. And no one without an "I hate Dak" agenda blames Dak for our cap problem that I know of. The team decides who they pay or don't pay and are responsible for how it plays out. We all want as much money as we can get. The team created all of this dead money by restructuring Dak (and others) and if they choose to give Dak another huge deal they are responsible for how it turns out 4 years from now with an even worse dead money situation.
