Maybe Dallas is tanking.

No chance to beat the Eagles as of today and the draft isn’t going to plug all the holes. Their best case is be like the Bucs last year and be the 6 or 7 seed.

But who on the schedule is Dallas definitively better than?

Washington - because they don’t have a QB on the roster
Giants - they don’t know what they are.
Saints - they don’t know what they are.
Bucs - mainly because that game is at home
Panthers - who knows if Bryce Young turns into anything
Cleveland - who’s their QB?

Everyone else on the schedule (Pittsburgh on the road, Atlanta with weapons is either a toss up or definitively more talented:

Philly
Ravens
Texans
49ers
Lions
Bengals (with a healthy Burrow)

This is shaping to be an 8-9 or 9-8 season. Which is the worst spot you can be. Not high enough to get great draft picks and not good enough to make any real noise.
Wait....is this thread about a dude whos been playing half seasons being gone....or us tanking....or we suck?

Im confused.

I kinda called this one on here weeks ago. It just is too perfect of a fit as the Jets need T help badly and are all in for right now.
Yep I called it too. Said Jets or Chiefs for 6 to 8 million base that can at least double with incentives. Seemed like a no brainer for all parties (low risk high reward, better chance of a deep playoff run, AFC is really weak at LT so pretty much a guarantee to make day 1 pro bowl roster).

exactly why do we need all resources going to the O-Line when SB winning teams dont do anything like this..
Eagles made the Super Bowl a couple of seasons back with Landon Dickerson (37th pick), Andre Dillard (22nd pick), Jack Driscoll (fourth-rounder), Lane Johnson (fourth pick), Cam Jurgens (51st pick), Jason Kelce (sixth-rounder), Jordan Mailata (seventh-rounder) and Isaac Seamulo (79th pick).

So, three of their linemen were taken within the first 37 picks and five within the first 79. Now, that's just one team, but I bet if I look at Super Bowl participants, I would easily be able to find more examples.

Did they really? I put the over/under @ 10 games....and I'm taking the under....one last paycheck....and you expect this guy to show loyalty to a franchise he barely knows? He will tap out the moment AR starts showing any signs of suck.
I'll take the "over" if it includes playoffs.
He's gone. Loyalty is a myth in pro sports unless you're
a part of a dynasty. Even then, players eventually away.
Dude has been one of the best for a long time.
You should wish him well.

I dont think so AC, i think Tyer is moving to LT..now for the rest of the plan..its hazy at best..
The Cowboys can easily fix the Oline with the OT (3rd round) and C (5th round) I'm thinking about. They would be able to leave Tyler Smith at LG to better help out the incoming new C. You don't want 2 unproven linemen starting next to each other at C and OG where pressure will easily get to Dak and shut down any running between the Tackles.

There is a very good Center who could be had in the 5th round. There is a very good O-Tackle who could be had in the 3rd round. Both good starting talents.
Name them, and let's see how they turn out.

I want JPJ, Barton or Frazier, so we can compare. I don't want us to draft a tackle. I think we're fine there with Tyler, Richards and Steele and haven't given up on Waletzko yet.

I already did earlier in this thread. Look at page 3 or 4.

Here...

Draft Texas OT Christian Jones late in the 3rd and Miami C Matt Lee late in the 5th. Oline gets fixed.

If you want me to add some tape, just say so.

Nah, we'll just see how it goes. Your Christian Jones and Matt Lee vs. my JPJ, Barton or Frazier. We'll see who starts as a rookie.

they movin Tyler to LT..its the most important OL position by far..they will move a backup OL to center..you will get 1 pick at OL this draft before round 5 your also gonna get a RB and an LB

Not sure why it matters if they paid a premium for them in the draft or in free agency. But ... Dickerson, Johnson, Dillard and Jurgens were drafted by the Eagles, so the four picks by 51. So was Seamalo, the 79th pick. You can look up the rest for yourself. We currently have two linemen taken before the 79th pick (Tyler and Martin). The next highest is Ball at 138.

You don't know how to draft. That's all this tells me.
Right, because you are telling me we can just find starting linemen in the third through fifth rounds when the evidence from our drafts in this century says we fail at that far more often than we succeed. The evidence is against you, but you seem rooted in, so I'm going to leave you to it.

The Cowboys fail. Badly. Yet, you want to continue their failed ways. It's understandable.

ok so what your telling me is when we platoon him he can stay uninjured..again Tyler is a better bet..or i dont know lets not ask our LT to hold 5 second blocks..look for sure LT is important but this fan "Need" for a all pro OL is crazy..its unrealistic..and BTW the 2 times we have had this OL we have been punted out the playoffs because the defense sucked...
I believe you replied to the wrong person.

Last year they found the formula for Tyron to play. And it’d be fine to let him walk if they’d come up with other holes filled so you could make sure everything was addressed in FA or the draft. Now you’ve left no room for error especially when injuries happen.

2021 was a terrible offseason because of WR being razor thin. This year is terrible because about 5 spots are razor thin. This is the worst Dallas has looked going into the draft in at least a decade. And people are mad because it’s all preventable!
