He was one of the best centers for 2 straight years before injury but you think that's a scrub. Sounds like you have an agenda against him and that's ok, but your wrong. Now if you want to say he could be limited from the injury that might be fair but I don't think it will limit him more than any other position coming back from the same injury.
He’s not even a true center.

He’s a scrub. We got rid of him for a reason.
Yeah, because he was being forced to play the wrong position of Guard. The Dolphins proved the Cowboys coaches, CowboyRoy and you wrong about knowing talent and for the correct position on the Oline.

I would too but the Cowboys have too many holes with a very limited amount of picks. There are lots of good Centers in this draft. Some can be had in the mid-to-late rounds.
Let me ask you this wasn’t one of Connor Williams issues his strength coupled with being played in wrong position?

Has that been fixed? If you go for centers later in draft you get Tyler B’s instead of Travis Frederick types

As an ex-olineman, I truly believe linemen can be built up with the proper coaches. The Cowboys 90s Great Wall of Dallas only had one 1st rounder on its Oline. Think about that. Only 1. The rest were later round picks. Why did it work out so well for them? COACHING

We can't be constantly using only 1st round picks on Olineman. If that's the case, why have coaches? What are coaches good for then? You need to start drafting Olinemen in the middle rounds and start building them up. Leave the early round picks for other immediate impact positions of need.

I like Bass. Not saying he's gonna be an all pro but I think he'd be okay.b

Connor williams has the same issues Tyler B had. Not strong enough, undersized. Hoffman will likely be our center

Center Connor Williams suffered a torn ACL back in early December 2023. Such an injury at a minimum lasts between 9 months and 12 months in order for it to fully heal. This means Connor Williams won't be able to play until most likely some time in late November. With this in mind and how Connor Williams is now a free agent, the Miami Dolphins got tired of waiting and hired Titans free agent Center, Aaron Brewer. This leaves Connor Williams available and on the outside looking in.

With the Cowboys currently in need of a good quality starting Center (Connor Williams was one of the best Centers in the NFL these past 2 seasons), should they bring Connor Williams back, offer him around 7-8 mil/season and patiently hope he fully recovers in time to play around Thanksgiving time?
Get a bargain on a player recovering from a knee injury...That worked well with Gallup...or NOT.

Offer to CW: Veteran's minimum + 500K per start.

CW's best option is to wait until he can practice before signing a contract.

You should have a disclaimer that you're a huge Connor Williams fan. You wanted him to play OC when he was with the Cowboys and you wanted to re-sign him and move him to OC when he was a free agent. He proved that he was much better at OC than OG...Good call by you. I agreed with you at the time that he would likely be better at OC; although, I was lukewarm about re-signing him...primarily because his snapping consistetncy was a significant question mark.

Look I'm not even reading any of this no the answer is no why would you bring back an injured player that you didn't want the first time that's not gonna be fully healthy when we literally have bass and Hoffman along with Richards and some other guys we also have the rest of free agency we also have the draft we can make a trade literally this place is so premature overreactions like impatient they will get what we need to start the season six months from now let me stress that season starts six months from now not three days in the free agency this is insane all these why would we bring back the guy we let walk and now bring him back injured??

I think some of the young talent we have on this team can play and we should use them not bring back some injured guy that might just be OK the reason they didn't resign Tyler B was because he was just good maybe average sometimes but he got bull rushed into the backfield he created problems he wasn't special you don't OVERpay for average.. So if you're gonna have a guy in there that's good just average then you pay them on a rookie deal to play that position it only makes sense you can't have pro bowlers at every position either I like some of these guys on our roster and I'm not just saying that and I hope they do bring in a veteran center or if they do pick one in the first round to get that Joseph kid whatever is hyphenated name is one of the best centers also I believe the Baylor bears the guy they were looking at I hear from a lot of people he's a lot better than people think so there's some centers in the draft you can get./.

Let me stress again we have six months to build this team y'all are out of control officially two days in the free agency even though it's been 5 it's insane how all these crazy posts acting like they're not gonna do anything look they may not be big heavy in free agency spending but they will make trades they will make some moves they will draft some guys and some of the undrafted guys we brought in in the past have been pretty damn good so we have a long road before game one to build this roster...

Because Connor Williams proved to be a Top 5 Center the past 2 seasons with the Dolphins. If the Cowboys doctors check him out and deem he is able to get back on the field, a veteran minimum towards the end of the season might work.

Ok. Maybe not a scrub. I stand corrected.

Let’s take a look. We need the help.

My concern is our Oline coach. I think the group looked worse under him this past year.

I think the O scheme changed under big Mike.

Give Solari some time.

He’s a respected OL coach.

Plus, we had scrubs at RB.
