What do you think is the biggest mistake thus far?

They could’ve freed up enough space to get a DT, a LB and a RB. Which would’ve been a nice haul heading into the draft. Instead it’s another low level aging inexpensive signing.
And we wouldn't have gotten good enough players to make this a super bowl contender. The best way is to let some contracts expire and focus on 25.

What has been the biggest mistake so far this off-season? Was it letting Tyron go, Biadiez go, Gallup, not signing Henry? Thoughts?
Their biggest mistake is not trying to improve from the last season. That's what they do every year. There is no one thing. It's not trying to get better.

Show your working out (based on the players you would have paid and what they got).....then workout next years CAP.

Nope. It's not understanding how to get better. Every time Jerry has tried to get better he's gone out and hamstrung the franchise by acquiring WRs and CBs at great cost. Jerry does not comprehend that no other positions matter if your trenches suck.

30 year old Henry at $8M was too rich for me but Gus Edwards on the 3 year deal at $3.25M per year that the Chargers gave him would have been a sneaky good signing.

Not finding $6M to retain Tyron Smith was criminal.

Outside of that, I really don't have too many issues with their inaction. The center with the unspellable name needed to be upgraded on his rookie salary. No way I'm giving that dude $10M a year.

Gallup was an expensive progress stopper. LVE's spine is shot. Given the choice, I would have rather kept Jourdan Lewis over Stephon Gilmore. Gilmore is a name but can't carry guys deep anymore and crossing routes gave him trouble all year.
Lewis signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys last Thursday.
Gilmore is still unsigned.

The argument could be that Jerry has realised he can't improve in 2024 (sufficient enough for success), sign Dak and sign CeeDee.
So his worst mistake was ALL- IN comment.

Well it probably would’ve started with not paying Zeke and pollard and cooper and Jaylon smith and Steele and Gallup and the list goes on and on. Now we get to cry about the cap like somehow the stupidity of the front office will correct itself? This is a foolish football team that overpays its own players and here we are in another jones created mess.

I don’t give a crap about next years cap or the year after or the next 20. You could do the math. Jerry and his kid are garbage with or without the cap space! Now all of a sudden they have an eye on the future? lol I’m sure once they right the ship they’ll be back to their winning ways! Hopefully by the time Jerry turns 150.

Was not just this offseason but past offseason as well. Cap hell from
Bad contracts, kept players too long, Tyron Smith, and now have to pay the price,
Not hiring a football front office has cost us for 28 years.

No hope if that’s what you mean: but sure 3 12 win seasons. As close as they’ve been in a long time is the perfect time to reboot. Doesn’t matter who I name or how much they cost. The team hasn’t concerned themselves for quite sometime with the cap. Now it’s the fans job? Thank God you came along when you did.

Not 1,0, nada not one of them was a surprise and everybody keeps saying tyron Smith just makes me laugh the hypocrisy in here people been saying for four years and they need to let him go they also say Jerry Jones never lets players go soon enough he waits too long where they're past their prime past their worth they're overpaid... every one of those moves including the non moves for Henry he's an older aging running back that can fall off a Cliff at anytime he's cost too much we knew he wasn't coming here unless he was willing to take $2,000,000 plus incentives to earn his $9 million which he wasn't gonna do what happened to not paying too much for older running backs on second or third contracts you're gonna go draft a running back you can replace our center easily the rest of them are not surprises either every player released was all talked about in the R season none of this is a surprise at all we're four days in the free agency technically it didn't start till the 14th that's the official day where everybody's a free agent and everybody can go wherever they want for however much they want that is way too soon the biggest mistake I'm seeing is fans posting post after post about the same nonsense we're four days into a six month process they won't use the draft they will use the rest of free agency they could make some small trades like they did last year with Gilmore and cooks they will build this roster like they do almost every offseason and as much as we don't like many of the moves because they're not the big Fisk fans think we should pick somehow we the front office managed to put enough players on the roster to win 36 games two division titles three straight playoff appearances just in the last three years...

They also have a lot of players last year that were pro bowlers all pro second team all pro a lot of really good players on this team for a front office that seems to not know what they're doing that other teams are purging and pillaging our roster who apparently we have a GM that doesn't know how to build a roster but a lot of people want our guys what why is it that they want our guys and now you're upset they're leaving if Jerry Jones doesn't know how to put together a good roster??
These are out of control ridiculous emotional responses all these players we knew were leaving and the chances of getting one of these older running backs if the market was too high was almost less than 20% we knew they weren't coming I'd rather have a mid level veteran under a veteran contract at running back it is not hard to replace a running back and then draft one of the best running backs in the draft that is a better formula the rest of it we have lots of guys on this roster already and more we can bring in to rebuild the offensive line and to get the players we need so stop overreacting 6 months before game one!!!@!@

It's not criminal tyrants made for the last four years by our own fan base said he's hanging around too long and he should have retired a long time ago now Jerry makes the move and it's criminal you know dumb that word is seriously this is sports the guy gets let go and you used the word criminal that's what's wrong with society today you guys are soft all players of all levels on every team some of the biggest names get caught on a daily basis it happens player movement it is normal most people knew tyron Smith was leaving and there are plenty Tier 2 running backs left to pick up put on this roster draft a really good one and we will be fine but let's overreact everyone's overreacting we have six months left to build this team could you please just put a muzzle on it people's criminal kind of word is that for a guy being released off a team where he maybe only has one or two years left in his career if he even makes it through a season over there with The Jets I guess they're gonna give him the same plan you know cottle him where no practice time limit him sometimes they pull him from a game to make sure he doesn't get hurt yeah that's where we were with him it sucks to see him go but it's not a surprise it's not criminal and it's not even the wrong decision... I guarantee they offered them the $6 million but they didn't guarantee him the bigger money like The Jets did they put the escalators in there he can earn up to 20 million the Cowboys just didn't see it worth it it is not a mistake it's been a long time coming I love the guy but everyone around here and all over Facebook's been saying tyron should retire four years ago and now it's a mistake because you don't like Jerry so now you wanna find a place to vent..

I totally agree , then you can draft best player available , instead of reaching for a need player.

Biggest mistake THIS year by doofus is keeping all these freaking coaches....it was time to move on. He would have kept DQ had he not been a last minute hire by Warshington. He missed out on hiring someone like Mike MacDonald, and up and coming HC and DC. Let him do the hiring of coaches and player evaluation and get the freak out of the way. Might have been a 3 year rebuild but at least there's hope and anticipation. Not like it is now, shooting in the dark.

I'll make you a deal. I'll stop using the word "criminal" if you start using punctuation.
