I know that what I’m saying is he should’ve been dressed…Rush only got in games where we were blowing out teams. Lance could’ve easily did that role.
Agree, but the Cowboys did not want to dress him. I guess they felt because Rush is more familiar with the offense and gave them the best chance for them to win if Dak got hurt during the game.

I would have loved to see Trey take some snaps during the regular season.

I tell you one thing though, you will see a lot of him in these coming preseason games!

We had like 7 or 8 blowouts last season. Either way Rush is nothing to me. Good backup. But he ain’t Elway. So you believe Lance was worse then Rush?
no no no no i'm just saying we didn't know we were going to blow teams out, the new rule you just can't put in a QB we have 2 that can play. I wish Lance could have been #2 let him get in there and run around for a quick second, see what he can do in his minimal time. Pre season is soooooon critical!!

That's the piece that bugs me too. Let Dak move on already if you're done with him. No sense if dragging his value down in a lost year so you can win 9 games instead of 6. Maybe trade off a guy like Osa who is likely to walk after this year while you can still pick up a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him. Them not fully picking a lane to drive down is baffling and hurts the team long term if they continue operating this way.
Finally someone making sense. It’s like people don’t see the issue with keeping Dak this season….they are dragging their feet on a decision they should’ve made long before now.

The only thing better would be Dak requesting a trade.
Mountain I keep planning it in my head "breaking News, we have learned that Dak Prescott is WILLING to waive his no trade clause" Sadly you'll hear Jerry and those guys come on as usual expressing their undying love etc for him

I agree and that’s why I’m not ready to say Lance can even beat out Rush. Especially if he hasn’t earned the trust of this team.

not fair to him if you really actually don't have any intentions to keep him

He will throw for 94245 yards this season, and 533 touchdowns, with 1 interception! We will keep him for life
If he does that, some other team will offer him some insane 500 million contract for the 2025 season!

Better them than us!

What does it matter though? This team should be ok with Lance coming into a game for Dak if he got hurt. Rush is not a game changer like that.

Knowing how the Jones's operate. They will get cold feet, and sign Dak in the middle of the season during his usual strong play in Oct and Nov, and be stick with him for another 5 years.

Oh I totally agree, I was hoping maybe we could move on from rush, they're too stuck on him for whatever reason. They just guaranteed Lance's deal or whatever, to me Rush is gone, get a rookie in here

If he’s not out there with the 1s and 2s that’s gonna say it all.

Dak is going nowhere this season.
He is pretty much playing for his job this season.

Just like football players used to do it back in the day!

Do not feel bad for him. If he does lose his job after the 2024 season, he will get somewhere around a 50 million dollar payday!
