A lot here wanna pay the runner up MVP that's been here forever and hasn't done squat....
Some times you just need to make a change. I'd have been good actually going "all in" for once, but since we've done the opposite I don't see how Dak or the team will be any better. May as well move forward.

The Brass has always been enamored by the previous successes of teams we have lost to in the playoffs. They try and emulate what they are doing/done.

So with that I bring you the GB Packers. Traded their All Star QB, that they never got him weapons for because of his cost. Remember him being pissed when they picked Love in the late 1st round instead of a WR?

Now fast forward to now and look where they are. When you trade star players you reap the rewards in the draft. In 2022 they trade Davante Adams for a 1st and 2nd round picks. Than in 2023 got a 1st, 2nd, and a sixth for trading Rogers to the Jets.

Adams signed a 5 year deal for $140 million with LV. Rogers the next season signed a 3 year deal for $150.8 million with the Jets.

Now they are the youngest team and football and look like a contender. They did all of that in two years.

If only our Brass were smart enough……
the GB model? lol... it is hilarious how people are so enamored with other teams. GB had one of the greatest QBs to ever play and managed to make 1 SB appearance with him, and you want us to follow their model for success? uhm, no thanks.

They've underperformed in getting to and winning Superbowls for sure. That said, they are the winningest team in the NFC this century and generally are in contention.

Our Brass is not smart enough .
They are Fans/salesmen masquerading as Football men/GM's.

I still believe we have father time to thank for Jerry's abrupt turn around.
He's running out of chances to prove he the "walrus"
That's why you suddenly see Jimmy back. Giving up trying to win with project QBs. In what world would "old Jerry" not re-sign Tyron and retire him a Cowboy?
Nope if Lance isn't the guy I think we'll be in position to grab a real QB in 2025.
I personally would be elated to trade Parsons climbing get to #1.

Wait. 1st of all they used a high pick to draft love. Then he sat for a few years. Now they could have done this last year as Levi's was sitting there and I said at the time if you have Levi's with a near 1st round grade you draft him. Then they could move on from Dak. But they didn't and no way to move on now. All the QB's are free agents at the same time and the 2 cheap options don't have enough upside.

If you are going to lose your players to FA, you might as well trade them when you can. Or, if you plan on letting them play out their contracts and leave, then trade them the year before and get something in return.

I have no problem trading anyone, as long as we get the right value in return. I do not want to see another Amari Cooper deal. If they can't sign Dak for a reasonable contract and the plan is to let him go next year then force a trade now and get a couple of 1st round picks for him. This is how the Lions ascended. The Eagles before them. The same thing with CeeDee. if he is unwilling to sign an extension, it means he is leaving. Trade him now and get a first round pick for him.

Oh it is hard to tell what Brass will do . I expect to see some trades in the draft both with picks and some players moved for picks .At this point that is about all that can be done to improve this team .All we can do as fans is hope ,that some smart moves are made.GOOD POST.

How ‘bout following their model at the QB position? Serious question - no judgement.

Favre, Rogers, to Love vs. Bledsoe (am I right here?), Romo, and Prescott. Dear God! In my head it was a no-brainer, but in print it’s borderline criminal. Clearly a big win there for the Cowboys triumvirate.

Based on current trending, we should get ready to welcome Sam Hartman.

In all fairness, before Favre GB’s idea of QB success was The Majic Man & Lynn Dickey so there’s still hope for us.

You might want to look into those trade details a bit closer. But I get your overall point.
