I'm not sure about this.......extending MM could be part of the overall big picture/plan. Keep in mind, that MM was the Packers HC during the transition from Bret Favre to Rogers. Let's be honest, they NEED a good experienced QB evaluator if they have to move on from Dak, coz they are not good at it. Besides, I'm not Jerry wanna start over with a new QB AND Head Coach. Remember Jimmy drafted Aikman ( he had his doubts initially), Parcell found Romo, and they luck on Dak. My point is extended MM could be more about how well he coaches this season than pure win/loss record.
they don't need Mike to do it, surely there's other coaches out there that are capable, hell we could even bring back Garrett to be a QB coach here

It would be good for me, I think the Vegas odds are about 8-1 now for them to win the super bowl. Which would net me $800 on my annual $100 bet.

you do know that i'm the OP of this post and require 8%, moving on, it's just a way of thinking, who knows what actually could happen these days

Well hopefully the prime interest rate will go down by the time the next super bowl is played next February :)

We spend little, and the teams that have spent largely will have little success, causing them to gloat about themselves and how their way works.

The cowboys would love nothing more than to win the Superbowl this year using this model of team management. If/when we win the big game this year, this will be the way we go forward forever!! Other teams will thank us for this model of team building! Please give your thoughts
Nope. The model they want to win w/ is w/ the Jones's in charge, period. They love to make contrary decisions, such as moving up for a CB in the 2012 draft that was excessively deep w/ much needed DT's. Taking horrifically injured Jaylon Smith in the 2nd.

And these contrary decisions are exactly what's keeping us from the promised land.

There is a minimum salary cap also. All teams spend roughly the same.

It sounds to me like you are are being sarcastic or you are having trouble being in touch with reality, now which is it.
Reality can be PMed at any time, so I think you're off in this thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love and want us to draft the Wilson kid that plays LB, but has his injury history been checked out, they know a lot about Brooks the RB from texas, would that not be guys they're interested in severely? They feel that no player with a big injury will ever have any lingering concerns. We have to focus on guys that have been on the field, more than off the field or have question marks

They aren't the first team to do this. They learned this approach from New England and Green Bay. Green Bay has spent a little more the past couple of years but they used to spend very little in free agency. Ravens do this some also. This isn't some new method.

I don't see any way we can field a team that will win more than 9, maybe 10 games. Looks to me as if we're going to let it play out, then move on. Which is stupid, as the resources garnered from trading assets would sharply hasten the rebuild.

i'm just trying to model the cowboys way of thinking, if they believe it why shouldn't we (sarcasm) lol. They sell us every year on being a Superbowl team, and we fall for it every year, why not believe in something else they spill to us???

the Patriots for real are the team that has stood out over the last how many years, BB was a tightwhad who got many players to play for less. With that in mind, you have to have a smart coach and organization to set up things to ensure you're actually winning games and being successful without spending as much as other teams are

never forget the captains of the ship, I agree with you totally, but do they see it the same way. Some want them to keep things the way they are in the organization, and nicely some are ready to move on from said player(s)

Just my personal opinion, he looks like he loves the game, and can be here for years, I would LOVE for us to get him. I'm on a different mode of looking at these players, I want guys that LOVE the game
His medicals scream that he will miss a lot of games.

They view things strictly as a fan would. They are follow the ball fans and have no idea what it takes.

come on and go ask them, I bet they tell you this is the right way, you don't have to even ask them, they're already talking as if this is the best way. NO we don't have to get every big name every off season, but make a move we don't always have to bottom barrel shop just to save money to NOT spend it lol
