Let's observe what occurred in 2022 vs San Fran.

Yes, Dak threw a costly 2nd interception and that sucked (and I was even about to give up on him at that moment) but then so did Mahomes in the Super Bowl. And got stopped on 4th and inches from his own 10.

On those 2 drives almost looking surely like SF could've blew the game open....KC defense allows 0 points.

Cowboys defense played well overall vs SF but Mahomes and Dak had basically the same game against SF outside of the final OT drive. It was against the same team too. This should tell you everyone struggles against SAN Francisco at this critical moment of the season.

The issue was more on SFs only TD drive, things fell apart on that drive. Defense overall played well, but we had ultimate selfish me-me Diggs letting that INT fall right thru his breadbasket - and his nonchalant, non self chastising attitude afterwards like he doesnt care as long as hes paid. He could've knocked the Kittle catch loose, but he didn't even try. Why not get a McDuffie or Snead who are cheaper, better coached, and make critical plays at critical times? If you let SF have 2 extra opportunities, you get exactly what you deserved.

Fastforward 2023. Vs Green Bay at 14-0 fine. But the 3rd TD should've been stopped. Gilmore looked like he didn't know who he was supposed to cover on that 3rd TD given up. That should've been 3 instead of 7...you don't give up plays that easily. Bland gave up some dumb routes. Bell hasnt looked the same since the Buffalo game, like the wind got knocked out of his sails. Clark is just an average LB and you can't roll into the playoffs with such paltry linebackers. I get it Overshown and Vander Esch were injured, but where was the healthy Parsons? A step short and a 2nd late. Would anyone still take Parsons over Chris Jones? Everytime I open a Parsons thread here before January, people say Parsons is better. You watched the 2 Super Bowls vs San Fran and the Championship game against the Bengals.....and you'd still take Parsons??? Lol.

The defense did not improve in the 2nd half. So yes, I blame very little of Green Bay on Dak. The defense was never gonna stop sucking in order for an comeback to materialize.

In '22 you can blame a lot of it on Dak and I agree he needed one more drive and that didnt happen, but overall hes still a Top 3 QB in the league. I'm taking him over everyone except Mahomes and Burrow. Lots of sites have him in the Top 3. Certainly Top 5 based on last year. Why should I not believe what I see? Why should I not trust official publications? Why should I listen to loudmouth fans instead?

I don't know how anyone can support Dak or the ownership and their team building. The ownership does nothing to improve upon the previous season. Dak doesn't do a thing to give us an advantage. It's all stats against garbage, and in garbage time. Other than that, he never steps it up.
that's the problem, he's doing so well against these teams and we're falling for it as if he's some great QB, when he's exposed against real teams we want to hold a stance and act tough like they're really not about to make his dreams come true and give him 900 million dollars for 3 years

I understand if you look at the stats it tells a different story from what we all saw happen on the field. On the field, Dak shut down early in 2022 vs San Francisco, and again in 2023 vs Green Bay. He doesn't put up points until the game is basically over. He allows the Cowboys defense to take the heat for him not producing; add in the interceptions that help the opposing team, and you see that the Cowboys defense was in games they couldn't win. Dak not only doesn't produce, but he helps the opposing team.
So yes, it is a team sport. But in this instance, the team will never succeed with a perennial weak link at quarterback.
Let me make it clear; I'm sure Dak is a decent guy off the field, and I don't hate him. I see him purely objectively, and that tells me that he doesn't have the "it" factor that top quarterbacks have, or any real quarterback has. He doesn't lead; he follows. If the Cowboys are beating up on a team, he will jump in and take his part. But when the Cowboys need him to be the reason they are a top tier team, he disappears from view. He doesn't make anything happen that makes the Cowboys better.
The stats tell a different story. They show that he puts up big numbers. But they don't show that he is absent when the game is really on the line, and only produces when the opposing defenses are playing loose because the game is already out of question.
If Dak hadn't spotted Green Bay 14 points in the first half, the Packers only have 14 points at the end of that half. Instead, they were up 27-0 before the Cowboys even scored, and that score came after the game was already decided.
Dak has choked away division titles, and he chokes every time the pressure is on him to be the difference maker. He simply isn't the kind of guy that leads a team to greatness. Instead, he's the kind of guy that will jump on the pile after everyone else has done the work.

For the last 8 years, the reason we haven't advanced to at least a couple of NFCCG and 1 Superbowl falls 100% on Dak's shoulders.
Are You Happy PAPPY???????????????????
I'm tired of hearing this, if you're the HIGHEST paid player on the team, man you need to take the responsibility. They make a lot of money, they're protected during practices etc, during the games. They're the most important part to a team, their play most often dictates the season, so why is it so hard for people to put the blame on them like sheesh

I've had some people here tell me Dak was better than Mahomes last year because stats. It's like a cult, rational thought is not going to work.
I truly believe there are fans of stats only, that never actually watch the games.
I cannot come up with any other valid reason for their inability to evaluate talent, they laugh at the eye test.

Dak fans don’t know football.
Some don't know football; others know money. The amount of pro-Dak propaganda being pumped out here and across social media by his agent and family in order to secure another contract worth hundreds of millions of dollars in staggering. These people don't care about the Cowboys. They care about what his big contract provides them with.

I laugh when they call this Trash QB a leader of men.
He gets beat down twice vs the Niners in back-to-back years in the playoffs and then goes to SF and instead of motivating and leading his men for some payback gets beat down again 42-10.
Leader :muttley: .............................of ineptness at its finest!!!
And these Dak supporters spout about SF defense is really good. Sure but Jordon Love and Jared Goff put up plenty of points.
