Dak is still my guy; stop blaming everything on him

Dak is a lesser Donovan McNabb, a very good regular season QB that invariably comes up small in the end. McNabb at least won playoffs games but the end result is still the same. Some guys just have “the clutch” and others don’t. McNabb didn’t have it, Dak doesn’t have it. Ultimately you can win a ton of games with those guys so you keep them around but they aren’t carrying a team in crunch time.

The disrespect Philly fans have for McNabb has always a been weird. The guy made a SB with Todd Stinkston and James Trash….unbelievable but your fanbase has never been the brightest….

one thing I’ve learned is no matter how much overwhelming evidence you have to support Dak, his haters will NEVER acknowledge it. It’s super easy to blame the QB for everything.

First 5 years of his career he was coached by Garrett. A dude who couldn’t coach his way out of a wet paper bag and is no longer in the league. Working with a FO that didn’t care about safety or 1 tech issues on a team we just watched waste Romo, Witten and Dez’s careers.
We lose because our FO has proven to be terrible at team building starting with putting the right coaching staff in place, poorly managing contracts, and neglecting to address major areas of need.

And they’ve convinced cowboys fans to blame it on Romo. Blame it on Dak. Blame it on the refs. Blame it on the rain. But whatever you do, KEEP buying tickets, KEEP buying $30 hot dogs and $100 parking spots. KEEP tuning in and KEEP finding a scapegoat.

Now we’re blaming Dak coming off an MVP season for wanting “too much” when we neglected to extend him and tagged him because $30M was “too much”.
Then after we tagged him we realized had we extended him he’d be playing at a bargain rate in comparison to other QBs of his caliber.

We actually extended a RB who’s no longer on our team and a linebacker (Jaylon) who’s no longer in the league BEFORE we extended Dak. We are STILL paying for Zeke!

So Dak hasn’t been elite in the playoffs. Neither has this entire team or any coaching staff we’ve had in place since he’s been here. But somehow EVERYTHING else gets ignored when he throws a pick in the playoffs. All of a sudden we want to start Trey Lance or even Cooper Rush. We wanna let Dak walk, eat all that dead money, waste the rest of the talent on this team as we search for our next QB to blame because he’s not Mahomes (arguably the greatest QB of all time).

This could be 3x longer if I took the time to breakdown more issues with this team that have nothing to do with Dak, but what for? The main reply to this argument will be “yeah but Dak sucks”.
And that’s okay. Because I’ve accepted that’s what it is to be a cowboys fan. You have to accept emotional arguments completely devoid of logic from fellow fans.

Who was his coach when he won these playoff games?

I call shoot, shoot and shinola shinola. Big time players step up in big time moments. Nuff said.

Not being disrespectful, it’s reality. McNabb was a great QB, probably best in franchise history, but he came up small in the biggest moments.

Dak is a poor-man’s McNab.

Nothing to do with the discussion. This is about individual play in the biggest games. Some guys consistently step up their game and some don’t.

Well what the hell was he suppose to win with those weapons…he and Dak don’t even play alike what a lazy comparison lol. It’s like assuming Cooper Kupp is Wes Welker….just lazy.

How can Dak an All Pro be a poor man’s McNabb when he never made one? Make it make sense lol….

That says a lot when a positive post about Dak gets labelled as Post of the Poster's Career (as a cowboy's fan). For some, Dak really is the most important thing Cowboy's. And again, is anyone surprised by the statement, just based on who posted it?
Yall are weird…so it bothered you he said his post was post of the year?

I just wanna know when all these bad coaches found all this playoff success? But nice deflection.

Sure, got a deal for you. If Dak accepts a more reasonable contract, then we'll stop blaming him for everything. Deal?
