If Dallas is rebuilding, which they are, then not signing Henry was the correct move.
Then why do they keep hinting that they want to keep Dak? I don't think they even have a clear plan. Most likely they don't want to pay Dak 60 and that's what he wants so here we are.

Considering they’ve done absolutely nothing it wouldn’t have mattered. You would think the team would care enough to actually make moves to improve. That’s obviously not the case. Now we’re “rebuilding”? That’s hilarious.

He was above average back for 3 out of 8 years.

For that kind of return, two young ones are cheaper.
He was fifth in TDs just this past season with no QB no oline and no WRs. Average ypc higher than Saquon Barkley.

If you're just looking at total yards that's a mistake his first two seasons he didn't get many carries. He's been a great RB.

Looks like he wanted to come here.

Derrick Henry is one of the newest members of the Baltimore Ravens, but the running back had his sights set on signing with another team in free agency.

Henry, who resides in Dallas, admitted that it could have been an ideal situation for him to sign with the Cowboys.

The Cowboys never showed interest, leading the running back to remain in the AFC with the Ravens.

"I knew once free agency started that I wanted to work something out [with the Ravens] if we could," Henry said recently on The Pivot podcast.

"Even though I'm living in Dallas and Dallas being a perfect situation, as well, because we lived there, we ain't got to move. But at the same time, Ravens, the history of it, and then talking to Ray (Lewis) at the Pro Bowl, his passion about the organization, his impact there and how he talked about it. I was like, man, if I'm not in Tennessee or I don't get to go to Dallas, I'd love to be a Raven."

The team isn’t interested in winning so be thankful Derrick.

They’ll pay Dak, Lamb, and Micah, and the rest of the team will just be fill ins.

Jerry has no real desire to win. If he did, the he would have contacted Henry. He just wants the cowboys to wallow in mediocrity. He’s probably still paying Zeke off as well…so there’s that.

This is the season where the cowboys double down on “we like our guys”. This may be my last season. I’m about done.

I love King Henry. I just don’t think he would have played well in our system. The Cowboys made the right decision on this one.

He did well last year with no QB no oline no WRs and he can't do well in our system? Then there's something wrong with our system.

I was truly pissed when they passed on him, now I just despise Jerry and Stephen more than ever. They will never win a dam thing. It’s truly sad that the ownership is this pathetic. There’s no confidence or hope with them in charge!

Henry is not the type of back for MM’s system. Baltimore is perfect for him. Yeah the second best offense in football system needs changes.

Just having Dak throw every down have been proven not to work in the playoffs. Yeah don't change what's not working and stick with regular season stats.

There's absolutely no proof Henry couldn't work in McCarthy's system. He can average 4 ypc and double digit Touchdowns in his sleep.

We had the #1 offense with Kellen Moore and said bye bye to him.

We will see this season. The running game issues was last season was not the running back. Tennessee gave Pollard more money than Henry received from Baltimore. He is just not a scheme fit for teams including us.

Mostly what I saw with Pollard was hand the ball to him and expect him to run up the middle, which Henry could do just fine. I don't get why you act like we have this elaborate running scheme that Henry couldn't perform in, we do not.

Explain to me how bad it was and when there was a more depressing offseason.
