So, what will people say if Dallas wins another 12 games in 2024, having not spent themselves into a hole?

Frankly, I don’t think that will happen because by the time the Cowboys get through spending on Dak, CeeDee, and Micah, they will have spent as much or more than most teams. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t happen.
Each team gets 53 players on their roster, can dress 48 + an emergency quarterback and the salary cap is the same for each team. You can’t spend yourself into a hole. You can either manage player compensation within the cap rules agreed upon with the NFLPA and mandated in the CBA well, or do it poorly. It’s a level playing field for all 32 franchises. Kansas City manages their affairs very well. Other teams, not so much.

They know what they have as a team is just enough to keep them competitive but not actually enough to compete and they are a-ok with that. The sooner y'all accept that the better you are going to feel. Every year we get bounced and then people sit around wondering what big name dude they are going to sign. The PR machine will crank out rumor after rumor associating some big name FA with the Cowboys and nothing happens. Realize that the Dallas Cowboys as a franchise is at a stand still. This thing ain't winning anything of substance, it's not going to get better. The overall culture of the team is garbage and the players and coaches embody that garbage culture.

Until the draft and Dak Prescott's contract is figured out we're not in position to spend 10M year on 30 year old RB's
I would have like to see a D Lineman signed but Dak and his agent have the franchise held hostage right now looking for 5 years 300M.

He's not worth it.

LOL.....Cowboys 32nd

But that's what happens when you live off the 'credit card' of restructuring contracts.
The bank eventually calls in the debt, and the choice was taken to bite the bullet and clear it off in two years.... in part due to the realisation there are three massive potential contracts to pay out in 2025.
We can't have it 'always', and as painful as it looks, a soft reset, is probably the sensible route (based, in part, on the fact the GB game showed this roster isnt knocking on a SB door).

They have to figure out a way to pay Ceedee and Parsons while at the same time meet Dak's insane demands to be made the highest paid player in the NFL.

The Saints were $-85 million in cap but somehow spent $59 million.

Do they have 3 'top of the Cap/per/position' contracts to find. If you're not close that's the time to reset the CAP (or more accurately pay off some of the debt).

Don't worry things will change after we clear space from giving Dak his money
Dak Haters exhibit a complete misunderstanding of the Cap and money spent...the fact are:

1. Players No.1 incentive is earning as much money as possible while able to play or marry the next billionaire super model humbly discount (prenuptial apply) :lmao::lmao:

2. The Cowboys spend the at the bottom of the league is in pure Cash $$ payouts via player salaries/contracts?!

Dak Haters are math cancelers:lmao2:

Very true, and Dak wants as much money as he can get, to hell with the team.

Dal lovers are infatuated with really nothing, nothing at all except not wanting the man to keep Dak down.

is there a reason he can't ask for all the money he can get? why would any player not do that?

jerry told Stephen, why spend a lot of money. these gullible fans will be back no matter what. They'll still be buying the gear crap and tickets, so why should I waste money, when the QB isn't winning crap.

I agree with him.
