Broaddus mentioned if we traded down with KC, we could get their 3rd and 4th, I would be all for that
Yep if you’re looking at a player you think you can get a few spots lower (one of the centers maybe) it makes full sense.

Otherwise I don’t like the idea of trying to fill every hole with lesser caliber players because there are so many needs.

If you don’t select a quality player it will remain a need.

They are on the razor edge of where the good tackles are going to be. Trade down and there probably won't be anything left outiside of maybe Morgan or for sure Paul.

Probably not the smartest idea to trade down unless they already are fine with Tyler at LT.

He’s not trading down…makes no sense to. Draft bpa don’t make this any harder than it has to be….you are not some draft wizard….
If there's four players they covet available at 24, they're moving down, they want that fourth round pick back...Dallas needs more picks since there's too many holes to fill on this roster..

That's moronic to me. Why would you trade down and get a lesser player just to get a 4th round pick who probably will bust? It doesn't make sense.

Dallas doesn't need more picks they need to go out and fill holes via free agency. Their 1st round pick couldn't even start last year why on earth would they think a 4th rounder will?

A trade back might turn out very well for them this year. It might actually line up well.

Don’t see much difference between Paul and Morgan compared to Mims and Guyton TBH

I don't take the risk. I don't like the idea of "Well I have all these guys graded out the same" mantra they do this time of the year. This is how we ended up with Julius Jones instead of Stephen Jackson. This is how we end up with Taco Chartlon and not JJ Watt. I don't agree with it. Because no one can sit here and tell me the same player that is available at 24 will be available in the 2nd round. Its not the same caliber of player I know their board stell them there's only 14 1st round graded guys but I Just don't agree with that.

It’s going to based on their board.

Being real, Barton, JPJ, Mims will be gone.

You sit at 24. You can gain a 3rd and 4th. There isnt much difference between Jordan Morgan, Patrick Paul etc compared to Tyler Guyton.

Now. If a guy like Murphy or Newton falls, you pull the trigger.

But I much rather pick up an extra 2nd and 4th etc and end up with a LT, RB, DT, LB in the first few.

But I also trying to find ways to get Payton Wilson while landing a LT and RB

The logic doesn't make sense to me.

Their board is based on "grades" so yeah they may have only 14 sure fire 1st round grades.

But they can't tell me that the 15th best player on their board is the same as the 24th just like they can't tell me the 24th best player on their board is as good as the 38th.

I don't claim to know the game more than guys on this site because there are some very smart football minds here.

But when it comes to roster building and drafts I have watched every draft for the past 24 years. I've specifically have studied how this team approaches these drafts for the past 24 years. And this is not a good idea thinking an extra draft pick is smarter than taking the best player available. It has burned us more times than not.

But this is the hole you fall into when you try to build strictly by the draft. You start doing stupid things and forcing things. Follow your board. Don't get too cute.
