Yes, all true. I understand what the Cowboys are thinking and hoping works out. It's better than not trying. Let's hope Hoffman at Center, Beebe at Guard and Guyton at Tackle become good players.

My apologies to everyone for my rants yesterday and last night at the Cowboys draft room. I would have approached things differently, but after cooling down and rethinking their draft decisions, I now see what the Cowboys are trying to accomplish to help fix/improve this Oline.
No need for apologies. Most have to vent with this leadership. Jimmy didn’t nail every pick, but I remember having full confidence in him getting it right overall. That was fun.

Personally I can’t stand when they make picks that have bust written all over it to the amateur eye and it almost always turns out that way. That LB pick is bothering me, especially with no fourth.

Can’t tell me that guy has more of an impact than Jalen Wright would have.

You need to pin this on your forehead and remember this exact statement 95% of the time. Almost all of the contention people have with you is because you don’t want people to have their own opinion
Wrong. I have no problem with differing opinions. What I do have a problem with is posters like you who contribute absolutely nothing but hate 24 x 7. That’s what I have a problem with.

Yes you do. You call anyone a hater who disagrees w/ you. Doesn't matter if they are a hater/lover/analyzer/cheerleader or whatever.

Oh, and BTW, you're the only one on the site who does nothing but hate 24/7.

Based on the track record of Cowboys scouting, I would choose to believe our guys than a random yahoo who pretends to be a keyboard scout.

You need to hit refresh and read posts from the last 2/3 years. Catch up Mr Troll. For two years I posted nothing but positive thoughts and threads. Your head is so stuck in the clouds you don’t know who ouiur talking to.

The funny thing is that this dude can't even see the irony of what he just wrote.

I saw this comment to and find it intriguing....I read all of the same on Liufau and it sounds likely they could have traded back and still gotten him, but there are zero guarantees of that happening.

I used to get more upset on perceived reaches but now I guess I just figure there's something in him that made it necessary to go early....if this draft is all about nastiness and he's a perfect fit at LB then good deal....none of us have any clue compared to the scouts
If he turns out to be the next Sean Lee, no one will complain about this going forward. But if he’s a bust, the people who wanted a trade back when we took the linebacker will be somewhat vindicated.

Think about that next time you're going at someone who's disappointed with Dak and posts about it here.

When exactly are we going to hear "well there was noise behind us that several teams wanted the guy we drafted?" They like to sell us really hard on this excuse. Several of the players we got we could have gotten later on in the draft. I'm not ready to write off any of these players who haven't even played yet, I wish them all the best! I just think the Cowboys reached a bit when they may have not had to,, please give your thoughts
Well you are untitled to your opinion.

Why so much rueing over an RB? Zeke was drafted #4 and done in four years. A solid RB is easier to find in later rounds than the corresponding LB.
Most likely because our lack of run game and inability to stop the run has been a consistent theme in our shortcoming along with a qb who seems to have performance anxiety when the lights are brightest but this thread is about reaching for picks so we can leave it here

Guyton has a lot of potential, but he's raw. If coached properly and hard, he has the potential to become a very good starting O-Tackle for years to come.

Beebe is a BEAST as a Guard. Only problem is he is stout/wide, has short arms and has never played Center (where the Cowboys are rumored want to turn him into). If successful, Beebe would be nice to have as a position flex Guard/Center, but being able to play the Center position will have its challenges for him. Interesting to see soon.
I feel like Beebe was the best pick in draft followed by Guyton

They talk about Guytons feet and his ability to protect QB as a positive

My ideal lineup is Guyton at LT and Beebe at center and in my opinion you don’t move an all pro (smith) from the position they were all pro at

If for some reason it don’t work out like that and the move smith out then my next favorite line up would have guyton at RT and Bebe at guard with Hoffman at center but I’m less confident in that line up

The CB pick saved our draft.

Outstanding pick.

Going in, we needed LT, C, RB, and LB.

I’m hopeful we pickup a fast RB today.

Another LB would be great too.
I cant follow your need list.

We already had Tyler for LT, so i cant see LT as a real need. And we needed a NT also.
Sure we have Mazi but he couldnt beat out Hankins in two years and he has health concerns where you dont know what to expect in the future from him. So essentially you have no starting NT.

My need list was (in that priority):

Center
NT
LB
LG

For your last scenario: How about leaving Beebe at center and let Bass play LG ?

Cowboys didn't need a Guard. Needed RB, C, WR, DT and LB.

Already have lots of Guards on the team.

Cowboys are drafting for luxury while avoiding positions of need. That is my beef.
Beebe is going to play Center

Also, how did you leave off Tackle as a need?
