Has Mike Fisher compensated the two scouts for their top secret classified information yet? Or did they go back deep undercover for MI-6 to avoid identification yet? Oh crap. Why did I type this? Delete! Delete! Delete! This message will self-destruct in five seconds. Goodbye cruel world!

Not usually a Fish man, but totally agree that the Dak issue is that Jerry's on the fence and he can see the problem signing him, but just cant let him go.
It's embarrassing how Jerry makes decisions based on his emotional attachment rather than operating as a business with a singular goal: a Super Bowl. Instead we get a Jason Garrett for a decade. We break the bank for Dak immediately after he sustains a devastating injury after Jerry bawls all over a podium about it. Results are meaningless next to Jerry's heartstrings. The only thing that might finally break this cycle is the cheapness of Cap Boy.

I dont think paying Dak will make him better. I just think he is worth it when you see what other qbs are getting. I agree that he gets rattled sometimes in games which is why having a strong defense and/or run game is important to mitigate that. Over the years the Cowboys have exacerbated the problem most of the time. I think that’s a big reason Kellen Moore is gone. Having a more consistent run game and/or better defense would take some of the pressure off Dak. There was a stat one year that the Cowboys were one of the worst teams on 1st and 2nd down and then Dak was consistently having to convert 3rd and longs to keep the drive going. It’s going to be hard for any qb to thrive off that.
I think the overriding concern is the composure aspect, that his anxiety gets the better of him in stressful situations. Indeed, I suffered it in work environment and meant I had to over-prep, but still had a tendency to lose composure if something unexpected came up. It's not Daks fault, but I cant really see how giving him talent around him will overcome that inner concern.

Im not as Anti-Dak as it may appear (and totally acknowledge Jerry incompetence with or without the Dak scenario), however, Dak's got to see that he needs help, mainly a Defense that can keep us in games in the hope that when it goes wrong for Dak they can keep control of the scoreboard until he regains composure. I would advocate a longer contract which allows us some early year CAP flexibility, however, I think he/France will insist on another short term contract at near top market value......if that's the case then with the high AAV (when we have to add the $40m CAP that's already owing) it's time to cut and build the Lines and Defense to help a rookie or lesser QB.

I actually think Jerry (being Jerry) will fold to Dak's demands in the Summer

You've got a point about the Browns. The difference is that in the case of Watson he was forcing the trade.....if that scenario involved Dak I think he nixes it (because he's going to be asking for a contract that would make Deshaun's look reasonable and he'll want the the choice of destination).
I can see that side... if Dak has no interest in helping the Cowboys as he leaves. I'm just hoping that he isn't quite that selfish. I'm probably being too optimistic tho.

They've given him little, they've given him lots, and he still can't get it done. So if that's "who he is" (and it is), then you move on. The only thing he hasn't had is great coaching, and he's not getting that here, ever.
WTH? He had NO running game last year and the defense was a wet paper bag and he still was 2nd in NFL MVP voting. You haters are so blinded by your hate.

Dak had top 5-7 defense in the regular season depending on which site you use and the run game finished in the middle of the pack. KC didn't finish much higher if at all. To say they gave dak nothing is laughable

Granted we knew the run defense was going to be problematic post season.

Good show, about what 2 scouts told Fish about Cowboys, just their opinion.
One thing that came out of it is both JG and MM have asked Dak to do too much, instead of just letting him be who he is.
So to me it is what I sometimes talk about, it is how you use a player that matters. Dont force a square peg into a round hole, it doesnt work very good.

They talk about dak, guyton, beebe (he should be center only, not a guard) and some other guys and stuff.

They gave him top OL, top RB top receiver top D for some of the last 8 seasons 4 OC 2 HC and now it’s you’re asking him to do to much. So he’s a not so great bus driver who needs everyone around him to be a top 2-3 player and a all time great D and the best ST and kicker for him to be carried against good teams. Let pay him 55-60 million a year to not get in the way, makes sense with all his limitations

Yeah both have had Super Bowl rosters. Dak has not.
Dak has he just can’t do what’s required, that’s not choking in the playoffs. I would say there are at least 4 QBs who could have taken a few of those teams to the SB and everyone knows who they are.

Well u didnt watch, it was more about how they use dak and ask him to do.
Basically dak would be better in a different offensive scheme and different plays , more running, stuff like that.
