News: Jerry Jones describes contract talks as "upbeat" with Dak and Lamb's agents

The writing’s on the wall that both will be signed fairly soon. I can’t wait to see if the board gets back to actual football afterwards.
I'll say it will happen for Dak by Tuesday, and Lamb by Thursday.

No, sorry to disappoint, but it won’t. One side will be upset that they paid the worst QB in football, and your side will still argue that he’s top 5. While those of us who don’t care how much they pay them as long as they compete for a chance for a superbowl, will talk about X’s and O’s.

Stopped reading.

I've seen contract talks evolve into gutter-talk when both parties are upset and unwilling to keep things on track. It's when both parties are willing to keep things acceptable to the other that real progress is possible. It appears that the Cowboys and Dak's agent have finally come to terms with each other's needs and have decided to bargain in good faith and reasonable conversation.

Here's hoping that continues, so that they can arrive at an acceptable solution to the needs of both parties. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to arrive at that situation just yet. Perhaps things get to a point where both of them are willing to arrive at an acceptable agreement. It's never an easy proposition. Sacrifices are always necessary before real progress occurs. Let's hope it's getting close to that, so that a workable contract can be made and renewed football activity returns, as soon as possible.

Jerry’s stretched it out as far as he can so I expect deals done with both players fairly soon.

Gonna make me laugh the Dak is signed thread gonna reach a thousand replies.

As a reminder to everyone that they just wasted 6 months debating and fantasizing on Dak being gone. And yet he's back for 5 more years.

It will be epic if it happens. I’ll actually have popcorn ready if/when it happens.

Here's My Prediction Guys.

Dak - not getting done this season, door open but most likely gone in FA, we all know.
CeeDee - $36.6 m/yr , 4 yr (first signing)
Parsons - $38.8 m//yr, 4 year, next off season
Ferguson - 3 year 24.7 per. sooner than expected.. They love this dude.
T. Smith - 4 yr unknown $$'s . They love Tyler and it may get done near/same time as Fergy
D. Bland - 3 yr unknown $$'s, wrapped similar time with Fergy/T.Smith.

Just a guess.

Yeah and if the intention was to sign Dak long term all along why not do it before free agency so they could actually do something there? That’s why I’m angry. They pulled the whole all in bulljive knowing they weren’t going to sign anyone because there is no money to do it, then free up money a month before the season starts? Brutal

What have you seen that makes you think Dak is getting signed?
jerry is now talking to france and sending offers.
Dak may take 53-55, and jerry probably goes for that!

I wonder too about if there will be a no trade clause again. If so that means they are stuck with him and so are we.

At this point if we are talking strictly business and keeping our personnel feels in our fan pockets, if Dallas were to resign Dak, the NTC and term should not be given up on this contract.

Like I said, nothing personnel, but if we give you the BIG money, we want the right to trade you in return.

That is the only scenario that should be of concern to the true fans that are paying close attention.
