TRADED Cowboys Trade For Panthers WR Jonathan Mingo

The only plus I see is he has the size McCarthy looks for in his wr’s. I can see Jerry giving McCarthy a 2 year extension.

He ended the year on the IR. Jan 2nd. For a foot injury. I don't know the team or him well enough to say how bad it was, but it was listed on my fantasy site's scouting report about him. And his stats this year sure don't show any 2nd year growth.

Drafted in the top of the 2nd round in 2023, he was in his 2nd season which also coincided with the drafting of Bryce Young.

So, Bryce Young was drafted #1 overall and Mingo was supposed to be his receiver as they both gained starting experience and familiarity with each other. At least that was the plan.

However, they drafted Legette in the 1st round this year and their young quarterback has crashed along with the season so they are having an estate sale that included Mingo.

I think the trade may be a good one. It's not like they are getting a guy that has diminishing talents, Mingo is only in his 2nd year.

We lost our qb for at least a month, how does Mingo help a team that won’t make the playoffs?
 
Since 2023 WR with at least 50 targets Mingo is LAST in Yards . Of course Bryce Young hasn’t exactly been Dan Fouts but if you’re trading a 4 for this guy and have Tolbert Brooks Flournoy already here cross WR off the draft list in 25 . It’s like TE , how many can you collect . I sure hope he contributes .
 
Don't we already have a ton of 2nd/3rd rate WRs? Turpin, Tolbert, Brooks, Flournoy, and Cropper on PS...
 
So Dak is likely going to IR. Season was over, even if Dak wasnt hurt. And now the idiot clown throws away yet another 4th round pick (will be high 4th round) for a bust WR?

Why wasnt Jethros stroke publicized?

Its beyond laughable how horribly run/coached this team is. It may be time to just quit watching all together.
 
Be prepared for him to be written in as the #2 WR next year no matter what. This is Jerry’s answer to the WR problem and will surely double down on what a great player he got.

Mingo is a great physical talent, but he was raw and clearly hasn’t developed his overall skill set if the Panthers gave up on him.
 
DL would have been a more appropriate position for Jerry to throw a fourth round out the window for or RB . Since this is Wed it’s doubtful Mingo plays against the Eagles .


Jerry is showing the disregard for the draft with this and the Lance trade
