My isnt the pick or Mingo per say.

its that Mingo doesn’t add anything that Tolbert, Turpin etc don’t offer
For sure. Like glad you recognized we needed WR help. But *** move is that? He’s no better than people we already have. I live in NC so forced to watch Panther games. Dude is not good.

We're light at receiver after this year. In that sense, trading for a second round pick in 23 makes some sense. The issue is he hasn't done much. 55 catches for 539 yards and no TDs since entering the league last year. Bad offense in Carolina, I get it, but a 4th for a receiver when there are still glaring holes at RB, DT, and RG isn't looking great. Maybe it works out, but I'm not a big fan of this move.

Be prepared for him to be written in as the #2 WR next year no matter what. This is Jerry’s answer to the WR problem and will surely double down on what a great player he got.

Mingo is a great physical talent, but he was raw and clearly hasn’t developed his overall skill set if the Panthers gave up on him.
I think right now big slot would probably be his most productive place. He is physical and strong, and his route running is good enough to play there. He might have to stay there. Might not have the explosive athleticism to play outside. If he is in the win slot, he is going to have to do better at the catch point than what he has

A 4th rounder for a receiver that barely broke 400 yards last year and is on track for 300 this season? What a terrible, terrible trade and lack of awareness of where this team is at.

This season is the perfect opportunity to tank, blow it up, and build a war chest of draft picks.

Dallas should be selling at the deadline, not buying marginal players for picks that we desperately need that are likely to be top 10 in every round.

I think we're about to enter Jerry's final era of wheeling and dealing out of pure desperation thinking this garbage team he built is a single player away.

I think they are hoping to get the player they scouted and not the one in Charlotte.
True. That's absolutely how they do things. When Jerry got Lance for a forth he was saying they got a great deal because he was picked in the 1st round. Jerry lives in the past.

Mingo wore #15 in Carolina.

Will that number be available in Dallas soon or did everyone hug it out lol?

What a joke franchise. I just can’t believe they did that. Makes no sense. They have Tolbert and Brooks to play the exact role Mingo will at best. If anything if you’re going to trade picks get some DL help. Awful.

The only thing that comes to mind is McClay & the Scouts must have liked Mingo in the 23rd draft but Carolina took him early off the board . Jerry wouldn’t know Mingo from Ringo

I'm not trying to crap on Mingo. The crap should be on Jerry who only builds through the draft, yet two years straight has appeared to over pay for prior draft picks who busted, with our precious draft capital.

I gave Lance and Jerry the benefit of the doubt too.
I mean if the moves work no one will care. We will complain for now but if Mingo goes on to be a legit #2 we won’t complain. I won’t anyway.

Exactly . Throw a 4 out the window for DL not another WR 3
