“In Carolina, Mingo was behind 2024 first-round pick Xavier Legette, undrafted rookie Jalen Coker and 2017 seventh-round pick David Moore, despite the hamstring injury sustained by Adam Thielen and the trade of Diontae Johnson.”

Mingo couldnt even beat out an undrafted rookie or 2017 7th rounder.
In his defense though it’s not like Carolina is a model organization and know how to develop talent. Though Coker has looked solid. Some times a change of scenery is for the best.

This trade is like adding another passenger to the Titanic for a 4th round draft pick. Just…crazy.
Bob not to worry they do so well picking in the second round they don’t need a 4th

This is why you people who complain all day about Dak are so misguided. Of course Jerry could be a complete moron AND Dak could play better, but you don't understand the relative effect sizes.

I think right now big slot would probably be his most productive place. He is physical and strong, and his route running is good enough to play there. He might have to stay there. Might not have the explosive athleticism to play outside. If he is in the win slot, he is going to have to do better at the catch point than what he has
Yeah I don’t disagree on the position, just not sure he’s that great of a route runner. At least not in the traditional sense of a slot WR like Beasley that catches a ton of passes and is a QB’s best friend. He’s more of a bubble screen/quick slant guy that you hope will break tackles with the ball in his hands.
Not saying that’s the worst thing to have, just not sure he’s necessarily going to solve the offenses problems. Lamb-Tolbert-Mingo still isn’t good enough imo, maybe Jerry will shock me and add more in the off-season

Really good move for the Panthers though. They just essentially traded nothing to upgrade a 7th to a 4th and considering the way the Cowboys season is going a very early 4th. It's exactly what the Dallas front office should be doing rather than acquiring marginal players for good capital.

You don’t want to have to trade a 2nd round pick from a year ago for a 4th but I sure as hell would take that for Schoon right now.

Your QB is gone for at least a month in a season that’s pretty much already gone.

WHY…WHYY….trade a decent draft pick for a WR??? Why?

Clearly but it's a case of them reading the writing on the wall and taking what you can get.
I mean yes and no. I’m not saying you are wrong I just think it’s too soon to give up on a guy. If you like him a year ago shouldn’t you like him a year later? Unless you are they incompetent?
