Thoughts on the Mingo trade!

Someone needs to tell Jerry just because they went to the same School doesn't mean he is AJ Brown.

Did we just trade for another receiver that can't get separation????

Weaknesses

  • Ordinary career production.
  • Lacks juice out of breaks to separate from tight man underneath.
  • Feet are efficient but lack suddenness.
  • Unable to find a second gear to run down deep balls.
  • Needs to get head around quicker on seam and over routes.

LOL, yeah, keep trying to make sense out of this lunatic’s move. Dallas is already filled with similar type players on the team. Potential but no expectation of excellence. This is someone you pick up on cut down dates in TC.
another raw player with potential!!!!!! I'm so tired of

People do realize that he’s one of the worst WRs by any measurable metric around, right? I know he’s in a bad system but…he’s coming to a bad system.

And a free agent after this year. I understand not liking this deal, but people have to take a deep breath and actually think this through lol
Yeah and injury prone. It’s crap deal but I want to see what he can eventually do. They can feel how they want about him but no one can tell me they’d rather get Mike Williams which would represent a win now move and a rental. It would be stupid.

This isn't a now move, but more towards the future. Mingo is very raw, but does possess elite athletic traits. He could potentially become that X receiver we lack. By trading for him, doesn't exclude the team from drafting another high receiver this year. Probably overpaid a little, but they are banking on his upside. I really liked him in the draft 2 years ago, has some Dez Bryant qualities, but he is more in the Jalen Tolbert level right now and won't make a big, immediate impact.
It was a terrible trade. He’s not worth a four at the deadline to anyone but the cowboys.

Compare the trade of Diontae Johnson by the same team to this.

Either a defensive tackle or running back with a pulse made sense.

But no, this front office is literally grabbing national headlines as one of the biggest jokes in football.
Jerry & son were a punchline before but, now?

It's like each football decision made outdoes a previous stupid decision.
Literally, you cannot make this **** up.

over paying aside, a rcvr made as much sense as any position.

When I read the report I thought it was a misprint. A 4th round pick? For a team that supposedly builds only through the draft they sure don't value their draft picks highly do they?
