Twitter: First look at new WR Jonathan Mingo No. 81

Let's hope his play justifies his impressive physical appearance, although, it may take a while for him to familiarize with our offense. Patience will be required for things to go impressively. Let's face it -- we have little to lose, as badly as we need another decent WR. Cee Dee really needs help! In fact, it's entirely possible CD won't be able to play, with that shoulder still needing time to heal. We'll see how it goes. I'm wishing the team well.

So I'm sure this has been discussed in some other thread here, but humor me if so....

Should we assume one or both of Flournoy and Brooks have sooooo disappointed that neither took the next step, that now, one of them will be off the 53 shortly?

That may be a bit strong. My guess is they think Mingo has a much higher ceiling but if they release one, he probably comes back and signed to PS.

Are people really getting juiced up? Maybe just happy to see/talk about something other than the usual topics. There's another game in three days. It's okay to move on.
I’ve seen a couple of fans trying to convince themselves this was a good move and that he could provide a spark. I wouldn’t bet on it. Some fans are thrilled we made a move regardless the player.

Yeah.
Doesnt make any sense. Cuz I thought Flournoy and Brooks were on the same Tolbert 3 year wide receiver development plan.
No?

LOL
This team, I tell ya.

Just what we needed another guy to run 4 yards and turn around. Should we offer him 35 million per year like we did CD?

I can believe that part.

He's an unknown to.us until he isnt. The. He can join the long line of failed experiments.

If we give up a third round pick do we get a guy who can run 8 yards then turn around?

We all know it is 2 first round picks for a WR that can run past the first down marker so I guess this is a good deal as far as buying magic beans is concerned.
