Didn't I see that he had a 50+% catch rate though. Are those hands dipped in butter before games? Lol. Honestly, I would start him and throw the first ball his way, then try like Hades to get him a TD just so he knows what it feels like in the big leagues. Woold be a helluva confidence boost.

Really shocked that Jerry didn't make CeeDee give up 88 so that Mingo could have it.

I can believe that part.

He's an unknown to.us until he isnt. The. He can join the long line of failed experiments.
In the position the Cowboys are in with the season pretty much down the drain, especially with Dak out for what could end up being the season, we should have been selling rather than buying. We need as many draft picks as we can get. It made no sense to trade a 4th round pick for a WR that’s done virtually nothing. It’s what we gave up that bothers me. We came up with Dak and Pollard with 4th round picks. We’ll see how it goes with Mingo but it’s yet another roll of the dice on a player that was given up on by their original team.

So I'm sure this has been discussed in some other thread here, but humor me if so....

Should we assume one or both of Flournoy and Brooks have sooooo disappointed that neither took the next step, that now, one of them will be off the 53 shortly?
Nope, I would think that they both stay on the 53.

Tolbert is safe, Turpin is safe, and I think Flournoy is safe...leaves Brooks and Cooks. My gut tells me it will be Cooks as the odd man out. With the way the season is most likely to unfold no sense having Cooks being a progress stopper (last year of deal anyway). Use these games to develop these young players. Plus, it's not like Cooks has been anything special for us anyway and most certainly isn't going to spark the offense.

Cooks is still injured and doesn't count on the 53 I think.

I would propose that Brooks and Flournoy had been regarded as occupying the "big physical" WR role... and that one of them is going to be relegated as a consequence of a third one being acquired.

I'll just root for the kid and enjoy the ride. Sometimes, to waste my energy thinking about our FO and the J family just wears me out beyond acceptable
His film in college looked promising ,big and fast good looking wide reciever prospect. We may get lucky for once.

Phillips was released to make room for Mingo and once Cooks is able to come back that will put the team back to 54...so, who gets axed?
I thought I heard that Cooks isn't going to be ready for a while. They also released Booth too and then signed him back to the practice squad.
