I don't care what anyone says, the player, the coaches, his teammates, the owner, the fans or the media. I am done with all that. I will judge him by what he does on the field. I hope he succeeds, but I hoped Mazi would succeed to. It is up to the player.
:thumbup:The way it should be bro too many people with way too many opinions we all know it was a bad trade for the fact that it was a fourth rounder but already saying he's going to be a waste and not be anything haven't seen the resurrection of careers like Baker Mayfield along with possibly Sam Darnold and Geno Smith those are quarterbacks those are usually once you're done you're done you're back up forever but it happens in the NFL sometimes you can have someone that look completely lost and about to exit the NFL and they have a shot...

Well we all know the 4th rounder was ridiculous especially this year knowing how much higher we're going to pick we got guys like Prescott and Tony Pollard in the fourth-round guys in the fourth round this year we could have used but we wasted it on Trey Lance apparently that's the hang up people just can't separate the bad trade value with the player himself...

That’s the comparison. AJ Brown. Heard it all during the draft process. Maybe it was lazy because of the college and size. If he’s a poor man’s AJ Brown that will be our second best receiver.
Flournoy isnt far off from those physical ability's is why this makes even less sense. Maybe not the speed but he looked good in PS but man that fumble sure killed the coaches use of him sort of like ASmendola, hunter last year and now Flournoy... i really don't expect to see mingo for a few weeks given Cooks coming back and Mingo will need a few weeks of practice to learn thing , i mean this staff wouldn't even bring in Dalvn for 5 weeks is just another reason to hate this staff. ughh

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on trading for WR Jonathan Mingo: "We wanted Mingo when we left that draft. We were disappointed we didn't get him."

"We found out that he could be available. When we found that out, we started a dialogue there. We were looking at a player we had a big interest in when he was coming out. He fits the profile of what we want. He's the type of receiver that is Dak (Prescott) friendly."

Always looking at the bargain bin. There's a reason that product is in there. Same approach with Lance. I can name a 53 man roster that Jones thought could be a bargain and was brought in for next to nothing. For every Marc Colombo there are a bunch of Brandon Weedens in our history with this guy.

Respect everything you are saying here with the exception of "it may take a while for him to familiarize..." that made me smile. Should take about 3 seconds if all the defenses in the NFL know what we are doing before the ball is snapped.
Maybe so, but what I meant is that it may take time for him, as a new individual WR, to get used to his assignments and our offensive system. Even experienced WRs, going to a new team, must assimilate whatever differs from what he's been accustomed to with the Carolina Panthers. Every team has their particular offensive intricacies. As I'm sure you know, it normally takes a bit more than three seconds, before it comes naturally. The defensive coaches might be wise to us, but a new WR must assimilate our system until it's 2nd nature. Until then, it's not so easy.

Let's hope his play justifies his impressive physical appearance, although, it may take a while for him to familiarize with our offense. Patience will be required for things to go impressively. Let's face it -- we have little to lose, as badly as we need another decent WR. Cee Dee really needs help! In fact, it's entirely possible CD won't be able to play, with that shoulder still needing time to heal. We'll see how it goes. I'm wishing the team well.
Just 12 receptions for 121 yds so far this season, but Mingo is only 23 years old and a round 2, 8th pick just last season.
Considering his youth and upside he has the ability to be worth a 4th rounder, Jerry throws a dart.

Yeah -- I get that feeling, too. Sometimes, the change of a team that a guy plays for can make a really magical difference. Lets hope it does here.

Maybe he will turn out great, but if he even turns out to be Noah Brown, he will be the only decent blocker on our WR corps.

Dude you stole my Thunder I was about to say that at work if this dude turns into Noah brown would that be such a bad thing I mean yes the fourth round pick is terrible but we could just focus on what could this guy be coming here and if that's all he becomes I'd be OK with that it's better than a total wasted pick imagine an offense with Trey Lance running the RPO game a little poor man's jalen hurts with a poor man's A.J. Brown Noah brown type I mean look at the future it's here..lmao :muttley:
