Which means he's slow and won't separate
That was his knock in college from what I remember.

Super big body guy, was able to box out smaller less talented corners for some jump balls. I don’t remember a lot of his routes with a ton of technique or precise route running

Im not a professional scout so I could be wrong on some of that.

But I do expect them to come out and throw a few quick screens and end arounds to get him going.

You spent a 6th on a similar receiver Ryan Flournoy , physical YAC potential but he’s hardly been targeted . So you go out and burn a 4 on Mingo ? I’m sorry but can Dallas quit collecting WR and TE when you could have traded for Za’Darius Smith and improved the DL -Pass rush

Mingo is 220 pounds. Flournoy is 200 pounds.

Next coming of To?
....then he shouldn't accept an invitation to dinner from Jerry. Hope things work out for Mingo, we needed a big-body WR.....we have too much height lacking for our WRs and for our QBs

I want Lance and Mingo to play together so I can post "Touch down by Trey Mingo" in the game thread.

I’ve seen a couple of fans trying to convince themselves this was a good move and that he could provide a spark. I wouldn’t bet on it. Some fans are thrilled we made a move regardless the player.
Anyone looking for a spark this year?
I think we're just looking to evaluate young guys, and he's now one of them, and might have some promise.

Flournoy 6’1 200-205 a physical YAC receiver exactly the traits Mingo has . My point is Dallas can’t seem to incorporate the receivers on the roster yet they trade for a receiver
Mingo is 220 pounds. 220 isn't the same as 200. This is about the future and they aren't bringing back Cooks.

I would have rather used the pick this coming April. Most of what I’ve heard about Mingo from those who’ve watched him play isn’t positive. It’s never a good thing when a team is giving up on a second round pick after only a season and a half. I would have been okay with it had we swapped Schoonmaker for him.

Jerry thinks this kid is the future #2 next to CeeDee. In his mind he sees a player under two and a half seasons of control. To be honest if he is a solid player who is at least our third receiver he would be worth the pick. I get the draft geeks complaining but the Cowboys still have their 3 top 100 picks.

So I'm sure this has been discussed in some other thread here, but humor me if so....

Should we assume one or both of Flournoy and Brooks have sooooo disappointed that neither took the next step, that now, one of them will be off the 53 shortly?
I hope its not Flournoy that gets cut, although he is the most like Mingo, but I'd want to give him more time, hopefully both he and Mingo pan out and give us physicality at the position
