Just a dreadful week. Cooper Rush stunk it up and we got blown out by the dirty birds. I’m beat down and have realized this season is over. After the game my son asked me how come our team is never competitive this season and also asked me if he will ever get to see a superbowl winning team. He also told me that he got made fun of at school the other day for wearing a Cowboys jersey to school!

What do I tell my son at this point?!?

Your a father. A father should sacrifice his life for his son.

You need to set your son free.

Before it's too late (I'm assuming he's under 18....if not, it's too late for you AND your legacy/family tree)

Give him a Chiefs jersey for Christmas

Set him free.

Give him hope. Give him a life

Free him from The Jones.

No more Cowboys jerseys at school. Simple…

Tell your son that he is free to root for whoever he wants. As long as he remembers that its out of his control. He's just watching the games, just like everyone else. It's entertainment. When the game ends, that's it. Move on to something else for the rest of the week.

..lol... dont let him wear that jersey. Kids will say dumbest things.

No fuel, no fire.

So many lessons....fight or flight, loyalty, get out while you can, its just a game, unless you're playing in it. There are more important things in life, be a complainer or not, brush it off...etc. you know your boy, I'm sure you'll lead him right.

I actually had my baby shower yesterday for our little boy that's going to be born in a couple of months. Due right around the Super Bowl actually (I obviously won't have anything football related going on then).

Instructed friends and family to refrain from buying anything Cowboys related. I'm not going to force this specific fandom on him the way my father did with me. He'll be a better person for it. Thankfully, my hockey and college teams are pretty damn good.

I seriously hope this isn’t one of your wacky posts and if it is you’re a total dirtbag. Bullying isn’t something to mock.

I’m in the same boat! My 25 year old Son has never seen a Cowboy team in a Conference Championship let alone a Super Bowl! And as long as Jerry & Sons continue to play NFL GM, it’s going to be rough sledding! I wonder if the Cowboys are the new Red Sox of most of the 1900’s.

I told both of sons to go find a winner. My oldest saw the last Super Bowl with me, but my youngest was born in 98 and hasn’t witnessed winning!
Maybe you should’ve told him about the history. Go find another team a winner, how pathetic

My 7 year old nephew turned in his Cowboys fan card this year. He said he gets ripped on at school and the Cowboys are garbage he doesn’t get why I would root for a team like that.

Lives in Michigan. He started following the Lions this year and is having a blast. Happy he doesn’t need to go through this.

This is sad...reading thru these comments, and it sounds like it's a normal thing now. I never thought I'd see the day so many fathers decided to not have their sons followntheor foot steps. Crazy what Jerry has done.
