I ask because both MM and Bones acted like they were surprised by it.
Maybe wrong play was called? or whoever gets the info on something like that, thought they called one lol.
It was weird.
Decent pass, but guy was covered again lol and no way it was long enough.

How many yds did they need? they got 4 yds which isnt much.

My thinking is it's time reign in the ST Coach a bit.

when you don't have a lot of talent on the field. when you know you are going to lose. then you have to take chances. it wasn't badly executed, but well defended. risky. but this team has to take risks. losing by 24 or losing by 17. does it matter?

I just laughed. You don't call that deep in your own territory in the first quarter. Even if it worked, it was a stupid risk. Houston was ready for it bc they are a well coached team.

Could have been one of those plays where you do it in practice a couple of times and you tell the punter "if you get this look from the D and you think it looks like it might work, go for it".

Punter thought he got a good look from the D, so he pulled the trigger...............neither Fat Mike or Bones actually "called" the fake at that point, but it could have been a player's option.
