My personal opinion
Even though I wanted to draft the individual
Micah Parsons .
. Like him, dislike him, on the edge about him.
This is when the team started to go backwards. We’ve started to play like individuals and not a team. And individuals don’t win.
, Trade him or keep him

No. Things started to go sour when we started drafting TEs and failed to fill the most important position sans QB: DT.

Right now, if we could stop the run, we'd be winning some games.

Blaming this on our best player? Lol

This thing needs a shakeup and a new voice. 5 years with one coach in the NFL is a long time when the organization doesn’t have a way of doing things. Like a Pitts or Balty does. We need a motivator of men.

Yup. Absolutely silly. Parsons' behavior is a result of this poor environment, not the cause of it.

As far as this season goes they lost it during the offseason when they did nothing and kept status quo.

Giving Dak that contract before the year pretty much sealed our fate for many years to come.

Parsons would be fine with a culture that has true leadership. A program that has an identity. He just needs to be managed accordingly.

Well it’s obviously he’s trying to not to rock the boat with Zimm. But no one believes in him. This year has been silly in all reality. One year deals for everyone. How can players get motivated by that?

When Jimmy left.
Jimmy never stayed anywhere for too long. That team really was the perfect storm situation because Jimmy didn't do anything in Miami. He was a very important piece to that team but even Switzer was able to stumble around and luckily win a SB. Sure it was the team that Jimmy built and Jimmy deserves a lot of credit for it but he's not the sole reason for that team.

Nope, way before.

It was when we started drafting incredibly stupidly in the top 2 rounds: Kelvin, Mazi, Schooner. We desperately needed some quality player infusion at OL, DT, and LB.

2015 IMO

The franchise had Jerry-centric problems before then, but Terrell Owens to Roy Williams to Brandon Carr and Finally to Greg Hardy in 2015…. This has caused Jerry to be so mistrusting that he only believes in players who came up through his system; abandoning free agency and major trade markets completely.

This is a death knell to any roster construction philosophy in 2024.

Am I blaming him. Or am I just saying this is when things started to go downhill. There’s a difference you know.

100%.......when you count as much on the draft as they do, getting those high picks right is critical.

This season, it went bad when DQ walked out the door. McCarthy was terrible before and immediately after DQ's stint in Dallas.
I think that played a big part also. We destroyed bad teams, but still not so good against good teams. But at least we played as a team.
