Honestly the debate between whether he takes 60 or 65 is largely pointless in the grand scheme of team building. You are either signing him or you aren’t.When Brock Purdy does set the QB market, what excuses are the Dak critics going to come up with?
Brock Purdy may be the next Daniel Jones. When Brock Purdy does set the QB market, what excuses are the Dak critics going to come up with?
Unlike Dak, Brock Purdy can be tagged. SF can tag him for $42 million next season. He will sign with the Niners for less than $50 million AAV, four or five years, rather than risk going elsewhere in free agency.Purdy is going to shun the brotherhood?? Nah, he will get at least $60M…….deservedly or not. QB contracts are out of control.
That's already impossible.Brock Purdy may be the next Daniel Jones.
It's nothing to do with $60M, it's about value for money. If Dak could perform without (ONE) of: strong o-line, receiving corp, running game/defense then i'd pay him more......but Dak just needs too much around him to succeed (even 2023 his CAP hit was only $26m) The factors are whether Purdy can produce to the elevated responsibility of the contract. Him taking a (much) larger slice of the CAP% pie will expose him, one way or the other, as to his abilities to perform whilst leading a lesser roster. When Brock Purdy does set the QB market, what excuses are the Dak critics going to come up with?
Ok. Which one (strong o-line, receiving corp, running game/defense) do we currently have on this year's team? It's nothing to do with $60M, it's about value for money. It's the Second Contract conundrum, whether the QB can elevate their game proportionately despite losing weapons.
IF???? He already has!!!!! Talk about upset, how happy can you be with a QB that's making 60+ million with bad legs, deer in the headlights posture, and no playoff success!! Damn you brotherhood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!If Dak upsets the entire pay structure for all QBs in the league than I guess he accomplished something remotely relevant.
Now that was actually funny. Cudos.IF???? He already has!!!!! Talk about upset, how happy can you be with a QB that's making 60+ million with bad legs, deer in the headlights posture, and no playoff success!! Damn you brotherhood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think he’s a very good quarterback. I don’t think he’s a great quarterback. Reminds me of Russell Wilson, his career not his style. You have a great team great coaching behind you and you succeeded. My opinion is the best quarterback in the league is up in Buffalo.Purdy may not be determined to reset the QB market but he’ll have a good argument considering he’s led SF to a Conference title game and a SB.
could be…Brock Purdy may be the next Daniel Jones.
At least Purdy has something on his resume. Dak is 2-5 in the playoffs while Purdy has been to 2 straight NFCCG's and started in super bowl 58.When Brock Purdy does set the QB market, what excuses are the Dak critics going to come up with?
Way out of control!!!When an average, choking QB can make 60 million a year, I’d say it’s out of control.Purdy is going to shun the brotherhood?? Nah, he will get at least $60M…….deservedly or not. QB contracts are out of control.
Before the Dak contract, we were discussing the length of the deal as a big characteristic of how team friendly it was. Dak ended up taking another 4 year deal which ends up completely screwing the team. When Brock Purdy does set the QB market, what excuses are the Dak critics going to come up with?
