"Two, he wants what Breer called "organizational alignment between the GM and the head coach.''

"And three, per Breer, "He’ll be looking for recognition from the organization of the things that have gone wrong, and a willingness to fix them.”

Might as well count him out!! He wants accountability
It's the middle of an NFL season and a non-head coach is not going to be thinking about his next job when his team is leading the league.

Anything written now, whether based on quotes or pure speculation promoted as "rumors", is pointless and meaningless.

When the season ends, regardless of how it ends for the Lions, he will have helped lead a 12+ win team and teams will want to hire him.

As all coaches do, he will compare a lot of aspects (and there are many) of potential landing spots beyond just one or two things.

Johnson was already not a candidate for several reasons. If true, this certainly settles it.

I honestly don’t think anyone with options would come here…it’ll be someone who no other team would consider (much like our GM/s)…and we wonder why we are routinely outcoached against anyone but the most pathetic teams.

Took a while, but I’ve finally opened my eyes.

Agreed. But he knows it takes those things to win.
Does he? He is the OC, not the HC. He may see what Campbell has and does, or if Campbell does not have those things. It could be extras that he wants.
He may not find that with any team. As he would have a GM and an owner to answer too.

Do you really think Jerry respect his wishes, I know you clearly don't feel that way
It does not matter what I think. I do not get caught up in all the fan and media drama of the inner workings of any professional sports team.
For which neither truly knows.
I do like the entertainment as frustrating as it is at times. :muttley:

That's fine and dandy, but to KNOW his level of expectations is telling about the kind of guy he is. He could have said anything, but you've never heard these kinds of comments from a coach, you'd think he's a Bill B. a couch that's been in the league for millions of years and has had success in the league. Coming from the team you just mentioned where he's doing well, why would he want to come to chaos, he's letting it be known. It's speculation, hell he may be about to sign a 4 year extension to stay there

He also wants 15 million and no one is paying him that so I don’t know he may have to budge on some of these requests lol.

nobody mentioned that except you, I guess some may be fine with this request, but not the request that he wants organizational accountability, every time I read this from him, I despise Jerry even more!!!!!
