I'm sorry but Cooper Rush isn't good

Dak may not be the answer, no argument there.

But you said we saw a franchise quarterback in Burrows last night? Are you sure it wasn't do to those franchise receivers he has as well?

I'll put it to you like this. Burrows is very good, no question. But if he was so franchise, why is his record so bad this year?

Why did that franchise quarterback need a botched blocked punt to win the game vs a bad Cowboys team?
Joe Burrow is absolutely a top 3 QB in this league, and hes probably been the best QB in the league this season. His WRs certainly play a role in how explosive the offense is, but hes also running for his life every time he drops back as they might have the worst OL in football. His ability to feel pressure and move both up and out of the pocket while keeping his eyes and upper body in position to throw the football at all times is very impressive.

The Bengals are so bad this year because they have one of if not the worst defenses in football. You simply can't give up 28 points per game and win consistently in todays version of the NFL. Going position by position defensively I'm not sure they have many guys who would start for other teams on defense. Hendrickson and BJ Hill are probably their only above average players on defense. Offensively obviously their WR group might be the best duo in the league but they have a pretty average TE, and honestly I'm not sure any of the guys we saw yesterday on their OL are anything more than fringe starters. The Bengals made last night close and have been bad all year because they have maybe 7 guys (9 if Orlando Brown and Sheldon Rankins are healthy) who aren't much more than JAGs.

Agree with those who believe Rush is a spot starter…he missed several throws that could have made a difference…he is no savior for sure; just another guy.

Yeah his arm talent is not that of an NFL qb. I understand some of the hype around the guy because hes sneaky good pre snap and running the offense, he just doesnt have the physical talent to do much damage. I'd watch for Cooper Rush to be coaching candidate when he is done playing, which probably isnt too far off. The guy seems to understand the game at a high level.

Rush is terrible. Look at his yards per attempt one of the worst in the league. Combine that with his completion percentage and it paints the picture. He is not a NFL QB.

He isn’t, but it’s funny how he has kept the team in the position of winning in most of the games he’s played.

But now it’s time to see what Lance has got.

Daks out for the season, FFS does every thread turn into this fantasy football mentality that he's somehow parallel with Rush?

Rush is not a starting QB caliber.

24-10? Did I just come out of a 5 year coma?
My bad bud… I was buzzed and looked at total games played when looking up his record now. Point still stands that the guy isn’t great but he has a winning record. We weren’t great with the starter either. The issue is much deeper…Jerry and how he’s mismanaged this situation and many others

Because the Bengals are run stupidly like the Cowboys. Well not quite as stupidly.

I'm not sorry but our line isn't good either
The Cowboys have way to much invested in players that are just not as elite as they think they are. Burrow and Chase showed you last night what a great QB and true #1 receiver tandem looks like, even on an overall bad team.

Seems like every year, Jerry decides to go into the season with a below average backup QB and this is the result.
Well, he doesn't want his 60 million a year son facing an actual QB controversy.

If Dak were in there last night, he might of been sacked a few times in the backfield. We need to draft at quarterback, despite the foolish contract we gave him.

Sad to say, the guy he is filling in for isn't much better!

Without the fumble punt...Burrow doesn't win that game. It hurt Cooper every bit as much as helped Joe, who also missed several throws.

I thought Rush had some nice throws.....for a "noodle arm". I thought the oline played sub par alot, just not giving him a chance.

I'm an outta shape 60+ year old with a hip replacement and I'm pretty sure I could run better.
Think what you want, statistics and reality says different.
Rush was awful.

They need to get Lance or Grier in there. This offense is inherently limited by Rush and has to drive the entire length of the field in increments of 3-7 yards. That's hard enough for a good team but especially doesn't work when your team is penalty prone and the OC can't get out of his own way.
